Is it just me or did the M4 iPad 13 inch. Just all of a sudden get hot after this update I didn’t have an issue with 26 beta 1 with the heat but now beta 2 is heating up the back of the iPad and is hot to the touch after installing this update.
That along with overall jankiness that the 1st developer beta brings along with itFirst of all the battery life is quite awful in the early betas. Can’t say anything negative beside that so far from the first beta.
I've heard that turning off beta updates and then turning them back on resolves thisNope...even on latest DB2 - unable to check for update.
Yes, a developer account is still required. It's just that it no longer has to be a paid developer account.Just a heads up for MacRumors: This information is incorrect. Since 2023 Apple does not require a developer account for developer betas anymore.
Noticed this too. Only time you can (re)name it is when you first save it to your bookmarks. What happened to being able to rename bookmarks?
Thanks for the lecture dad.no offence but its just nuts for the vast majority of people to go anywhere near a first draft developer beta.
It's just insane this time and ive never seen the like. People getting developer accounts and installing the software on primary devices in BETA ONE for goodness sake. This is not for the general public. This is for Developers who need the maximum amount of time to make changes to their apps and software for the new OS.
I dont think ive ever seen so many YouTubers and others positing video after video showcasing 'living with iOS26' after 2 days etc etc etc when they are on DEVELOPER beta 1.
There is a public beta coming - you have to wait a few weeks longer for it - but it will be MUCH safer than an early developer beta. I dont get why people illegitimately create developer accounts to get a bug-laden release that could easily result in catastrophic data loss when they just have to wait a few short weeks.
After the first few days, my battery life has been great! I don’t need to charge the phone for a couple days if I’m not using it much.First of all the battery life is quite awful in the early betas. Can’t say anything negative beside that so far from the first beta.
Anyone running the beta on an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max and if so how does it feel?
Thank you. Installing beta 2 now.Battery life 30% shorter, phone gets hot at times, but other than that it’s quite good for a beta. I feel like it’s less buggy than latest public iOS 18 version 😄
No issues with mine.Is it just me or did the M4 iPad 13 inch. Just all of a sudden get hot after this update I didn’t have an issue with 26 beta 1 with the heat but now beta 2 is heating up the back of the iPad and is hot to the touch after installing this update.
Okay thank you. Ill keep an eye on it. Hopefully its not a new issue. But thats what beta testing is for. 🤣🤣🤣🤣No issues with mine.
You still can unless I am not understanding. No problems here renaming bookmarks. What happened to being able to rename bookmarks?
Getting a developer account and installing the developer beta makes you a developer.no offence but its just nuts for the vast majority of people to go anywhere near a first draft developer beta.

It's beta! It is absolutely normal for devices to heat up. It's probably re-indexing your memory, or Apple has selected your device to get some extra debugging info.Is it just me or did the M4 iPad 13 inch. Just an update....updated my MbP to Tahoe DB2 - did a full restore to the 16 Pro Max (Backed up all data to the mac for a faster restore). Once the phone was back online and restored, I now see the option for the Beta again...all is good with the world. LOLThank goodness....could not update on my 16 pro max OTA...used my MAC, downloaded the ipsw and did an update that way....lets hope the ota issue is fixed. MbP was on Tahoe DB1.
Pretty normal was same on my M4 for the 18.x series of betasFirst of all the battery life is quite awful in the early betas. Can’t say anything negative beside that so far from the first beta.
I had few problems on my M4 iPad Pro loved the beta 1 and the real windowing wont go back to 18.xanybody check out iPadOS? The first version was pretty laggy and had weird UI bugs.
