What does happen with my icloud backup, when i updated to 8.4 beta and then revert back to 8.3?

How do you handle these backups?

Besides the obvious bugs that are being reported, have anyone else experienced decreased battery performance. Mne loses battery just by looking at it.

Anyone else having troubles with Siri (completely unavailable whatever you ask her) after installing this beta?

So it appears as though the majority of people who have the disappearing music problem were people who were on beta 1 and then did an OTA update to beta 2. Is there anyone who lost their music when they started fresh? Is there anyone who updated OTA from beta 1 who didn't lose their music?

Strange, I do not seem to have many of the issues being posted here. Music and Siri all working fine.

My main issue seems to be the top status information can't decide if it wants to be in white font or black font :p

Running on a 5S

Go into settings, switch Siri off, then while in settings under Keyboard switch off dictation.

Switch Siri back on. She should now work. Then switch dictation back on.

Yes!!! I came on here to see if anyone else had the same problem! Not too happy with that in the car.

Beta testing iOS 8.4

Beta 8.4 update Beta, I get booted out of most of my apps, Wifi is strong but software update has bug issues... some apps I can't even open. I made the report in Feedback and showed Known issues, captured on film.

How did you get to beta 2? OTA from beta 1 or a direct install from any other OS? Any info is appreciated.

As an update. I tried doing a DFU install on beta 2 and then restore from a backup and my music wouldn't show up without putting "show all music" on. After that, I did another DFU install and didn't restore from any backup, synced a small amount of music and it still wouldn't show up. Very weird.
Going back to 8.3 until the next beta comes out (hopefully with a fix).

Put your phone in airplane mode, then tell me you see all your music

Can you explain how to go back to 8.3 without a valid backup?

Audiobook Heartattack

I nearly had a heart attack this morning when I couldn't find my audio books. I didn't even think of checking iBooks and am quite unhappy that they keep moving things to iBooks (I prefer my sync stuff to all be in iTunes, except for Photos). Still, I am not happy that my regular music isn't showing up. It's still on the device, taking up space, but that doesn't help me much. I know this is a beta release, but this seems like a big oversight.

Without a valid backup? Not sure what that has to do with going back to 8.3 but all I did was put the phone in DFU mode and then restored 8.3 on there. After that, I just started fresh and put all my apps and music back on there manually. It's a lengthy process but it's worth it (IMHO).

Yes, but even having a Mac doesn't guarantee getting in.

It seems as though you can still enroll pretty much any Mac and they'll let you in. Not sure if there are more spots available or if fewer people are interested in the program (or maybe a combination of the two) but it appears as though you can still enroll your Mac.

Your iPhone, on the other hand, all those public beta spots disappeared quick! I tried getting on within an hour of it opening up and I couldn't ever get in. Still can't.

That setting will show you not just music on your device, but music in your cloud too. That is the downside.

Also, if you try to unhide the music in iCloud, POOF all gone again. Hopefully Apple releases beta 3/PB2 soon to fix this.

Music is now completely dead for me. Showing no installed music via app, tried to re-sync and now iTunes is seemingly refusing to sync everything. Says sync complete after syncing just over 200 songs, when I have over 500 in my library. Not sure what's going on here but someone gone done goofed.

Don't install a beta if you can't live with the pain ;-).
I had pre-release software wipe my whole system in the early 1990s (not Apple ones).
