Hey everyone,

For those complaining about losing the ability to tap on the album art, and see the song list. The functionality is still there. Pull down on the album art, and it pulls the album cover down, and shows the list of songs, and at the bottom is the song that's playing. To get back to the album cover, tap the song at the bottom that's playing.

Hope this helps everyone.

Will try to submit pics in a minute.
Doing that simply switches out of the Now Playing window.. it doesn't bring up the album view (unless the album view was the last thing you looked at).

Actually what is happening is you are dismissing the "now playing" view. You will see whatever you viewing last in navigation, which will not necessarily be the presently playing album's tracklist. Thanks for looking out, tho

Ah, ok. Sorry. I always do almost everything through the album view, so I didn't realize it was just whatever was the last screen you were on. Sorry for the false hope!

yes i hate that pink. makes me go blind at night

Are you sure it isn't all of that white? Somehow I think the pink text (which isn't all of that much in regards to the rest of the screen) wouldn't blind you less if it was, say blue or green.

My iPhone 5s updated, but my iPad still says that 8.3 is the latest version ( both are registered for PUBLIC beta), not sure why this is.

My music disappeared but in settings music i put on show all music, all good

But why the hell do i lose all my music when in airplane mode or no internet like the poster said above? Any way around this?

And heres the link to download public beta profile if anyone wants it

http://hl.altervista.org/split.php?http://jacopojannone.altervista.org/ios_beta_software_profile.mobileconfig

Download install restart device and update should show up

Does iOS 8.4 remove the album art grid while in landscape on the iPhone? I hope they change it on the 6 Plus to better utilize the larger display

It's gone completely. There appears to be no landscape mode, which is better than the grid either way.

Restarted the iPad several times, but it still says iOS 8.3 is the latest version, I wonder if it is not compatible with iPad 4th generation ( the slipping sales need some help)

I'm not gonna hold my breath, but I'm hoping for a fix to this disappearing music problem soon. Because I did back up 8.3 on iTunes, but I can't seem to downgrade.

This just sucks —*tl;dr don't upgrade yet

This was my temp workaround:
1. enable "show all music" in the music settings
2. sign out apple id under itunes & app store settings

This made local music accessible without seeing items in the cloud, but then iOS kept prodding me to sign back in. I caved, so now I'm back to seeing all my crap in the cloud that I don't want to see. So really the only way to navigate music sensibly now is by looking through "recently added" view or search. Basically, all the things that made iPod navigation beautiful are now useless in this beta.

Hopefully this is far from finished. Like I said earlier, this feels more like an alpha release to me.

Yeah, I upgraded on my iPhone - not smart. But I figured out how to downgrade now. Now all iOS betas will be on my iPad :)

I downloaded the update and Siri stopped working for me.Has anyone else experienced this?

I've tried restarting my phone and turning Siri off/on, but it keeps giving me an error message.

Ah! One good thing has returned to the music app: you can just click on the repeat button without bringing up a contextual menu.

The search function is different. If you use it to search for an artist you get the Artists section followed by Albums and Songs as before, but Albums now only shows you three albums with a tiny red "more" button on the right. Previously you would see all albums matching the search criteria. Clicking "more" (which itself is tricky since it is so small) brings up the full list on a new screen.

This is really annoying as I was using search to get a usable list of albums in a sensible order, after it became impossible to do this via Artist then Album. Now it's yet another step.

Apple really doesn't want you to navigate albums within artists!

I just want to be able to plug my ear buds into my iPhone, and hit the control button, and have music start to play. Hopefully in shuffle mode, and not have to dig my iPhone out and have to 'interact' with it. I don't need to have to find the thing buried in my coat or something and have to wake it up, and then fumble for the controls and 'do the dirty' to get sound to play.

Making it 'headless' and easier to play that way would be AWESOME! Also bringing back the 'hold the control to find out what's playing' would be a good idea too.

Can you figure out how much I love shopping?

Would you mind posting a few screenshots, showing this? Thanks!

from the experiences of the others I don't think I'd want to update, unfortunately my Software Update screen tells me that my software is up to date so I don't really have choice anyways. anyone know how to fix this? I'm currently on beta 1 and have restarted multiple times. doesn't really matter for this beta because by the looks of things I'm better off sticking with what I have already, but I have a feeling this won't be a strictly beta 2 issue... any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

on a side note I would also like to see lyrics bright back in. I study multiple foreign languages and often look at the lyrics while I'm listening to those songs so that I can better my listening recognition. can't do that with 8.4 so far. the past lyrics box wasn't very visually appealing either so I'd be interested what they come up with this time around.
