From beta 1 there is one new language in Siri settings. Greek. http://www.techgear.gr/siri-speaks-greek-102502/ Not tested it myself though. The article in short reads "you can select greek language in settings but siri isn't able to "speak" greek yet". I don't know if greek was added by mistake and removed in beta 2 or you can still select greek under siri settings in beta 2.

No Greek, just checked.

The lagging problems on anything but the latest and greatest will always be mitigated after the Christmas shopping season. Apple is trying to keep up the massive profits and this is one way to add to the pile.

Seems like some older devices are doing even better than the newest ones. So there's that that doesn't quite follow.

I hope this will solve the icloud back up issue on IOS 9.1. I never was able to back up on icloud since the upgrade to IOS 9.

Apple today seeded the second beta of iOS 9.2 to developers for testing purposes, one week after seeding the first iOS 9.2 beta and two weeks after releasing iOS 9.1 to the public.

The new iOS 9.2 beta, build 13C5060d, is available as an over-the-air update and through the Apple Developer Center.

The first beta of iOS 9.2 introduced some changes for the Safari View Controller within apps, letting it work more like the standard Safari app with support for third-party Action Extensions and the ability to long tap on the Reload button to reload content without content blockers or request desktop site.

iOS 9.2 also includes a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements, many of which are under-the-hood improvements. Thus far no other outward-facing changes have been discovered, but updates in the second beta will be listed below if found.

Bug Fixes in iOS 9.2 Beta 2:

- Un-paring and re-pairing the Apple Watch will no longer cause the Stocks glance to go missing.
- Syncing Music to the Apple Watch has been fixed.
- An issue impacting audio quality when playing audio over USB in some car stereos has been fixed.
- A bug with iCloud Keychain has been fixed, so users should no longer see "Could Not Set Up iCloud Keychain" errors.
- Videos with 'folw' track associations will no longer fail to play on 32-bit devices.

New Features in iOS 9.2 Beta 2:
- It's now possible to dismiss the Safari View Controller with an edge swipe.

- The second iOS 9.2 beta includes support for AT&T's NumberSync feature, which is part of Wi-Fi Calling. With NumberSync, AT&T users can receive calls to their phone numbers on Macs and iPads even when those devices are not on the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone.

The functionality is similar to the Continuity feature that allows phone calls to be answered on devices other than an iPhone, but that feature currently requires an iPad or Mac to be on the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone and signed into the same iCloud account. With the addition of NumberSync, the devices are no longer required to be on the same network and answering calls on a Mac or an iPad is even possible if an iPhone is missing or has a dead battery.

Fixing the app switcher lag on my iPhone 6s Plus has already made it a worthwhile .2 update for me. The difference is noticeable.

Thats what I'm looking for! This issue and the overall slower animations do exist even in the new 6s plus so I agree that It should be fixed in the old 6Plus through software.

Have u compared the app switcher with an iPhone 6 ?

The 'fix' is in the jailbreak (9.02) - there are tweaks such as 'NoSlowAnimations' which speed up the UI and make the device less lagging. Some people have reported better performance on a restored as new device - besides that, this is a memory challenge device.

If you are on a yearly upgrade program get it rid of it - otherwise there is always iPhone 7.

If that's the case for the performance issue on the 6+ then Apple made poor engineering choices for iOS 9.
Front facing changes 8.4-> 9.X are minuscule apart from, IMHO. an inferior implementation of the multitasking UI.

The UI for all intents and purposes is identical with respect to graphics load on the GPU, so why is the UI framerate inferior as compared to iOS 8.4.1?

My iPhone 5, a non metal device, runs the iOS 9 UI faster than my 6 plus does, but, my 6+ runs the 8.4.1 UI equally as well as my iPhone 5 runs the 9.X UI.

Seems to point to the metal API as the culprit, but who knows. that's just my experience with it.

I also use Siri through an aux bluetooth adapter in my car, to play songs/playlists and answer and reply to texts.
Working 100% through my bluetooth headphones while in the gym!

That's great to hear. Just two questions. The screen can be off and this works? And... Has this has only worked since this beta? Because I haven't been able to get it to work via my headphone mic up to this point. Just wondering if I got something screwy going on. Thanks.

Probably means the codepath of the bug is specific to something in the newer devices, probably to support some extra functionality. Since this code is newer than the one that support core older functions, it being buggier is probably to be expected.

Sorry it took so long to reply. It started working only after that beta update. While in my car I usually plug in my phone and rest it in a compartment made into the top of my dash, which is also convenient for allowing the phone to be able to hear me talk. While driving I just say, "Hey, Siri" and the phone responds and works really well.
