This issue is driving me BATTY... ever since the first 10.12.1 beta it freezes when it restarts. Insanity. Like you, I just rebooted after a few minutes, but that's absolutely insane to have to do that.

I'm also surprised that it is not possible to submit a bug report yet since the Feedback Assistant has not been updated to the current build number.

hope they fix safari's high cpu usage without any website open, just being open... it's heating up the mac's making teh fans work harder.... chrome and firefox runs cooler

Can someone help me out with this... so I'm DONE with these shoddy Apple Betas (just restored to OSX 10.11 and then updated to OSX 10.12 public release thanks to 10.12.1 beta 2 bricking my macbook pro)... since I was enrolled in the beta program, it's prompting me to update to 10.12.1 beta 2. I clicked the app store and unchecked the "download beta releases" but in the app store it still shows the update.

Is it possible since I unchecked the beta downloads, that I can make the 1 update disappear? It's bugging me, especially since it's a friggin Lion icon, jeez Apple, come on!

I don't think they expect you to do anything. If you can't use it in your office, then don't. It's a feature that requires your voice. Getting upset at a feature for things it wasn't designed to do just seems silly.
But why Siri cannot be utilised through keyboard and typing, as we already can use some natural language to search in spotlight? And, if the user is not comfortable with speaking to computer?
Wait - why does OS X require an update for the iOS bokeh effect? That's entirely done on the device, why would Photos require an update to be compatible with it? Or are we talking about RAW support?
I can link this to live photo one in iOS 9 era.
So you want a microphone that you can type into? Why stop there, the possibilities are endless!

- a camera that records touch input (ooohh look at that majestic "swipe up and right"!)

- a keyboard that responds to emotion (e.g., sadness over the absence of a microphone-keyboard)

I kid. I know you just want a chatbot Siri. Maybe Cook was jealous and didn't want anyone getting too attached to her.

Seriously, though, seems like it wouldn't be too terribly difficult to hack in the functionality but would probably just confuse most people to have another place you can type stuff (after Spotlight) with overlapping but different functionality.
Your first part must be sarcasm. Must be.

I had to reinstall El Capitan on my current model year rMBP, every time it went to sleep or the screen saver kicked in the computer froze.

Install of beta froze and after reboot and a time machine backup recovery all of my apps are now gone. Help.

everyone please try to find references to new MACs in this beta

Right on. I'm down to a 27 inch 2010 iMac. My 2008 Macbook and 2011 Air both died. Unless I can get a notification of new Macs, I'm defecting to Windows 10 + Ubuntu (probably buy a Dell XPS 13 that can both either OS)

No issues here (MacBook Pro 15", mid-2014). I started the upgrade and went to lunch. When I came back the MBP was off. I turned it on and it booted to 10.12.1 Beta (16B2333a).

Oh, and Mail has a different Junk button now:

Sooooo.. After reading this thread - net result being. Don't upgrade to Sierra because it's a choppy, buggy mess with little to gain.

Yep, that sounds about right for 2016 Apple!

It is an online forums, where users talk about issue and something whine. Ah and it is a beta thread.
Sierra is quite stable release for Mac land, naturally much more stable than typical Windows release.

YEAH! With a working version of SMB!

Just kidding, why should they it isnt a Apple product so the can niglecting this issue for another 3 years

Malware and other trash? Try to run Malwarebytes

Anyone having problems with their USB keyboard? After the update, my keyboard cannot type "a", and "i" and "h" have suddenly switched places. On the parallel El Capitan installation on the same MBP 15" mid-2014 it's OK.

My MBPR is working very nicely since 16B2327e, so after reading all this and seeing the Mountain Lion image on the beta update (obviously quality control at Apple isn't concentrating!!) I've backed out of the Betas and will wait until the next public release.

Anyone else getting the "OS X Mountain Lion" logo instead of macOS Sierra logo in the app store?

Yeah. Sure did. I had to do a clean install on an external drive of the final Sierra GM and it asked to update iTunes. So I did. But there was the old mountain lion. This time for iTunes for Sierra!:

I think this is a fairly recent phenomenon. Pretty funny though. I don't care. It didn't stop or hinder the update in any way.
