One thing I can say about these betas: the 7 Plus portrait mode seems to have improved quite a bit. Much better IQ, less weird artifacts, sharper foreground, and it now seems able to achieve focus closer than before.
Plus the ability to turn off the background blurring effect after the fact (while editing the image.)
Well done there Apple.
I always found the portrait mode as a joke from Apple. I have seen some clones on Android that worked much better.

The SW is doing a Gaussian Blur around the subject and didn't do a good job of determining the selection around the subject itself and started to do weird masking and very strange artefacts....

I will try it tomorrow to see if it did improve.

That was fixed in 6, and can be fixed in earlier versions by backing up to iCloud and restoring from the iCloud backup.

I had this issue in the initial PBs...But it was fixed till last beta..But after updating last beta, i am facing the same issue...

I hate that iOS 11 took away the ability to use reachability and invoke the notification screen from half way down the screen rather than swiping all the way from the top. I used that all the time in iOS 10. I hope they bring it back
I'm on the latest beta and I can use reachability and and get to the spotlight search screen by swiping from the middle of the screen.

We're officially into the weeklies. Let's hope it keeps up. Surprised we don't have a date for the conference yet.
Probably not until after Labor Day, possibly mid September before invites go out... they’ll likely be using the Steve jobs theater on the new campus too.

Yes, try it again.
The Portrait Mode software was always in Beta until fairly recently anyway.

As long as the 3D touch gesture for app switching is disabled, I refuse to upgrade to 11 or even install the beta on my iPhone. It's a gesture I use constantly, and I hate the idea of having to go back to using the home button.

I'm sure there's got to be legal reasons why they had to disable this key gesture. It makes no sense to remove it. #furious

Installation on my IPP 10.5 was smooth, uneventful, and fairly quick.

Feels snappier than the previous beta. Almost like 10.3.3. It seems I can hold on to the iPhone 6 for one more year.

Plus, it literally flies on iPad 2017. Really impressive.

Got the Public Beta 6 installed on my 7+. It looked like I was going to experience the "stuck on preparing update" issue, but after about 5 minutes it sorted itself out.

I could simply be crazy, but this beta seems to run a little faster than the last one.

Still landscape keyboard gone on iPhone Plus series... reported in beta 5, but still not fixed, or any response from apple
