Yes, I forgot I was in the Monterey beta thread because I have the dumb, but these same maintenance scripts can be run via the Terminal.
Which is great because I don't plan on ordering a laptop till January but I really want to have people try them out first. Hope the 14 inch is both real and as good as I think it will be.
Has the public beta been pulled as not showing up for me in Australia.

Very weird.
I didn't get the update, so I re-installed the profile since so many mentioned that, and that downloaded a full 11 point something GB installer and did a complete reinstall of Monterey on my Mac...
...only it installed the Beta 6, which I already had...
And after that the Beta 7 showed up in Software Update, but refused to download, so I gave up and called it a night. (The releases are typically in the evening, local time.)
This morning, though, it downloaded nicely, but I had to go to work before I could install it.
Not really a big deal, just weird, as I said.

The Public Beta is NOT available yet. It usually shows up along with the full installer the next day (Today Sep 22nd at 12CST).
Not showing in Germay, either. Will revert back to Big Sur tonight probably since I've been getting a lot of system crashes lately.
So Montery in Beta is more stable than the most recent Big Sur version? I'm asking as I'm still on Mojave and was thinking about maybe upgrading to Big Sur before Montery is released.
Yeah, I think this was case also with previous beta - MacRumors stated public beta was available but in reality it wasn't until many hours later.
I would say yes it is, definitely for me. As I say, it's essentially a Big Sur bug fix patch.
What's the deal here as I was able to update on my iMac but not my M1 MBP. It says the software is up to date. Removing and reinstalling profile makes no difference.

I’ve noticed they are getting incredibly lazy and a lot of errors in their writing. I find myself using Reddit more than anything because at least it’s accurate, lol .
Agreed. My favorite part about MR remains the forums. The articles are predictable and repetitive. Reddit for the win.
Update: Excitedly did the update last night--and still can't play Music via Airplay. Has anyone else encountered this. If I recall, it only worked for one Monterey beta, like #2 or #3. I've filed multiple bug reports, and don't know what else to do. It's how I play my laptop's ripped music (with the Remote app on my iPhone) via Airport Express and my home audio. Very sad.
I mean, to be fair, it's entirely possible it was released and later pulled. But yeah.
They could just have forums and I’d be happy with it. That’s really the benefit as Apple censors their forums if it doesn’t paint them to be perfect haha.
What’s everyone’s speculation as to when Monterey will get released? I am not one for running betas on the only machine capable of running it I have.
Did they pull the public beta? I'm still on 21A5506j with no updates.

Still rocking Big Sur, and have honestly been trying to find something to get excited about with Monterey...
