Doesn't fix the shadow in Music.app unfortunately. In beta 5 they removed the colourful part of the shadow, where the album art would blur into the shadow. Podcast.app still has it but they didn't fix it in Music.app.

All apps that work with iOS 11 also work with iOS 12 without any issues :)

This is a false statement and you shouldn't be telling people that. I have an app that wont work on iOS 12 that worked fine on iOS 11. It opens and shuts immediately. I don't blame Apple for it since the app hasnt even been update for the iPhone X.

Agreed. There's plenty of apps that do not work with iOS 12 since apps can't actually support iOS 12 until it is officially released. There's a few apps i use that don't function properly on the iOS 12 betas.

Nothing wrong with saying that, though it was a bit careless perhaps. What would've been wrong would have been to tell him to install the beta for that reason. Which I didn't. I didn't assume he'd want to install the beta, I assumed that he'd want to know this when the stable version gets released.

It’s fair to say that almost all the apps that I use do work. Check the thread listing working apps and take the plunge if all your critical ones are working and you are feeling lucky.

Maps still has no good color contrast between roads and surroundings?
This makes it useless (outside). Where is Maps used the most again?

Same with Weather that shows rain on future days as light blue stripes on a light blue background.

Why can't they have the basics of design right?
Personally I have no issue with Maps, I use it on CarPlay and on my iPhone, I can see everything quite clearly even outside. I like design and colours much more than Google maps

I imagine it's going to be like iMessages in the cloud. So half baked they don't actually release it until final release 12.3 or 12.4.

The Shortcuts app is just Apple rebranding the freely available Workflow app. Apple bought the company last year. You can download the Workflow app in the App Store now.

The Shortcuts app is not "just Apple rebranding" the workflow app.

Does anyone know if you can facetme between ios 11.4.1 and ios 12? i tried on the first public beta and could not. So i had to revert, i am itching to go back to 12.

Or they applied a new design change in music but forgot to apply it in podcasts. The newly updated Remote app also dropped the blur while streaming from your computer.

so has anyone noticed issues with the watch ios5 and ios12 on beta 5? seems like some apps have no prob communicating while others dont, ie weather is good, but activity is dead...same with trying to request an update, says it cant talk to the internet

Upgraded to b6 from b5 using ipsw update method in itunes. Hopefully will fix the imessage/message respring. Drove me nuts. Only issue I've had since moving to ios12 and this didn't happen until beta 5.

I also had an issue with iMessage, updated OTA and everything seems to be fine for me.

Overall, while still early naturally 6 seems much more fluid and snappy than 5. Already happier. 5 was a step back from 3 and 4 for me but this is the best of the bunch so far, so right direction. iPhone X.

It's not just a rebranding but it's basically the same app with some changes. Point is that if you don't have access to a developer account then you can still get much of the functionality by using the Workflow app now.

They're so clearly the same app that the default tasks are even the same.

I guess Apple needs you to remind them to debug their own SW before they forget
