iOS 12 beta seems to run better than iOS 11.4 on my X. I guess iOS 11 was just a train wreck of bugs that anything is good At this point. Although unlock animation seems slower.

A day before this beta came out I downgraded to 11.4 because I was annoyed a banking app wouldn't work. But jfc... it's been like downgrading to a four year old phone. So I said eff that and went back on the beta train. iOS @ 12 finally feels like iOS 6 again (...as far as I remember).

Unfortunately I am in the same boat. First time a beta has been degrading normal use. I cannot even get the latest beta updates...which is really worrying for when the stable version releases.

Any solutions to at least be able to download new public betas??
Have you tried uninstalling the Profile and reinstalling it? I had to do that on a previous Beta to get OTA working again.

Well, I have only seen "Unable to Check for Update" for the last 12 hours after a very buggy previous build that killed all my ability to download podcasts from Overcast, songs from Apple Music, or app updates. I suppose at this point it's a restore back to 11.4? This is the first time a public beta has left me with a bad apple...

/pun intended
Which comes pretty close to my definition of alpha software
(yes, I know that has to do with an unfrozen feature list - but hey, what happened to Airplay 2 & msgs in the cloud?)

“Unable to check for updates” on iPad and iPhone for me. I resolved last time by erasing all content and settings :(

Anyone have a mysterious Settings badge notification after the update? It appeared after the update and I can’t get rid of this.. suggestions?

Broke my Library on Apple TV 4K - since the update no movies appear - tried reinstalling, resetting, different iTunes account to no avail. The Movie store recognises my purchases but nothing in the library itself.

The Shortcuts app is just Apple rebranding the freely available Workflow app. Apple bought the company last year. You can download the Workflow app in the App Store now.
Just rebranding is not fair term, thee is a lot of work behind even on Workflow itself which Apple kept updated.

12% of Android users using Android Pie, 30% of iPhone users on iOS 12 Beta.

I'm making up the beta user statistic but if it were true, it wouldn't surprise me.
