That's a conspiracy theory that has no basis in fact. If it was true then iPhone resale value wouldn't be so high and my iPhone 5 wouldn't work just fine on the latest OS.
Oh yeah, it's slow as ****. I have the old 5s still and it's ****. You need a faster phone

I wonder if this will help with the speed of the little things, like the banner pull down. It seemed much faster in iOS 9.

Also seems a bit over the top to take over the whole screen :(

Retro is the new gold standard I guess.

Well executed retro, yes. Old-style interfaces designed by committee, no.
Apple was on the right track establishing its OS design language with edge-to-edge flat UI. The point is to reduce visual clutter with intuitive shortcuts. Not replace it with baffling space waste, translucencies and jumbo buttons. From the Control Center to the bloody emojis, it was all change for the sake of change, with the added twist that it's not even working or looking that well.

Does anyone have any guess as to when the final version of 10.1 will be released?
If the rumored Apple event is going to happen for sure at the end of the month, around the 25th then I would assume it will be released then.

Hm havent thought of that. My standby times are fine though.

Not quite sure what you mean but i had it checked at the apple store (takes 2 weeks avg of batt capacity reading)
You have to be persistent. Very persistent. I'm not sure what country you're in, but quoting things like 'not fit for purpose' and 'not sold as advertised' generally works here in the UK. If you're not getting usage as was advertised when it was bought, then the device is simply no fit as sold. You should legally be allowed a new battery or replacement phone. I actually managed to get a replacement new phone, since their own batter diagnostic tool wasn't working on my device!

I have an iPhone 7+ Verizon, 10.02 (no beta), prior to that iPhone 5, 5S, 6+, 6S+. I am currently having problems with the signal returning when out of signal range. It might return to 3G instead of LTE, or if returning to LTE, it returns to fewer dots than if I go into airplane mode and then out again.

Has this been fixed with the beta? TIA.

I have had issues since day 1. This beta is better in my opinion. Kept gps and lte connection on drive into the city about 30 minutes.

Resale value is high because people reselling them are competing with the Apple store that still sells at full price 6 months later. Android users who resell have to compete with stores that are selling brand new and cheaper than day1 price.

Seems with every release there are varied opinions of the different things in the release. This release is no different.

Yeah i dont think thatd work here in Canada, unless i seriously threw a hissy fit haha (im far too docile to even start an argument).
Its funny because my phone does die sometimes randomally at 30%, which i mentioned. But if their diagnostics isnt showing a capacity below 80 then they won't touch it.

Isn't the same used for that gimmicky "light field" camera toy, only the iPhone has a better sensor?

It's nifty to see, in some venues even the smartphone sensor can do a lot of amazing things. Not all, there's still a time and a place, but the right tool for the right job can be amazing.

Still, a sensor 4x the size of a phone's will always deliver far better quality across the board. But, as I indicated, in some venues it makes no real difference (e.g. landscape photography)

Anyone having trouble installing? Mine pops up the Terms and Conditions screen for a fraction of a second before hiding it before I can accept. I'm in a loop and my iPhone 7+ 10.1 beta 2 is unusable at this point.

Yea I had the same problem. I had to go to software update in the settings menu and do it from there. Because the auto install pop up was broken.
