He stated earlier the switches didn't work on the X.

Probably "or something". Seems basic things seem to have issues working correctly in the iOS 11 branch.

Yeah that seems to have solved it for me on iP6s. Really strange issues with sounds in this beta. I had no sounds after install, then reboot and LOUD lock, keyboard clicks and dial pad. Toggle the two switches for lock screen and keyboard click and both those seem normal now. Other system sounds were barely audible. (notifications, messages, new mail, etc) Going into settings and selecting the sounds for the different options made them work again. (so far).
You are the first person I've noticed that mentioned other system sounds being barely audible. I thought that I was imagining it! I tried re-selecting the sounds, but they are still the same. Hmmmmm....

Problem is not only Siri is just horrible but the Google Assistant is just really good.
Was watching TV the other night with the wife and a video came on with Trump and Billy Bush. Wife asks if Billy is related to George. Just ask our Google Home "hey google is billy related to george" and without even lastnames get a detailed answer.

Will not even work on our Echo.

We've always been able to change the volume of the keyboard clicks.
I just tested it.
Really? How?
[doublepost=1515077228][/doublepost]Oh, and the switches work on my X. I turned off keyboard clicks and the sound was gone. I re-enabled it though because I like how loud it is in this beta.

Wow, this is very loud, I can't remember, was there a way to adjust the volume level somewhere in settings for system sounds e.g. keyboard clicks, etc.?
There is (under Sounds in Settings) but it is broken in this beta. Volume stays at full blast for system and keyboard sounds.

I read another post that indicated the volume in the music controls adjust the system sounds. May want to try that (in control center music).

[Edit] Nah, the sounds are just jacked up in this beta. Adjusted the 'ringer and alerts' volume slider in settings and no lock screen click. After fooling with it up and down and locking unlocking the lock click came back but in its LOUD version now. LOL. I may drop back to beta 2. With notification sounds being so flaky not sure this is worth it. Probably will miss some messages/notifications because it seems to be on silence 1/2 the time and SUPER LOUD sometimes. Ah the beta life :)

Settings —> Sound & Haptics. This screen has a volume slider for system sounds. It doesn’t seem to work with this beta. You can also set whether or not you want system sound volume to be changeable or not by using the physical volume buttons on the side of your phone.

I updated last night and charged my 7plus all night. My battery is at 33% with 4 hrs 19 min standby and 2 hrs 1min usage.

Anyone else notice battery drain issues?

So far my X still have the annoying bug where the springboard will sporadically restart when making/receiving calls. It also just froze on the lock screen when receiving multiple notifications. It's a beta though and these bugs will most likely get squashed soon.

I'm on an IP8+ and I'm experiencing the sound issues like everyone else. I also have a new Apple Watch Series 3 with Cell service and I've noticed in the mornings that when I snooze my Alarm a few times, right after I dismiss instead of snooze when I wake my IP I see multiple instances of the Alarm. Now I'm not sure if it was like this before because I just got the watch as a present.

Keyboard clicks are louder, if I'm not wrong they also changed in pitch? Previously lower, higher pitched now. I liked the lower pitch better, more like the butterfly 2 keyboard sound.

I don't get why we still can't independently set ringtone and keyboard volume though. Before the keyboard was too quiet while the ringtone got uncomfortably loud when I tried to find a good compromise, now it's the opposite, I just want to set keyboard volume by itself.

Of course it will default to the Washington Post, a newspaper that they are trying to glorify with a movie. Ok, they were the watchdog for the people in the ‘70s , now just a political tool of the left...sad really. Apple New feeds hard left news by default also. It’s hard to find honest unbiased Journalism anywhere.

The Washington Post is, and has always been, a middle of the road paper. The shift, in America, is all politics to the Right. Eisenhower would be considered a Liberal today, so would Nixon.

Screenshot editor is frequently disappearing for me on my iPhone X. I will edit a screenshot, export it through the share sheet and not have the functionality anymore. When you take a screenshot nothing appears to happen, but it saves the full screen shot to your photos regardless. Only a restart fixes it. Had this bug with beta 2 as well.

apps are almost unusable in this beta, everything seems frozen for about 15 seconds before the keyboard shows up. Issues swiping in Fantastical between months, etc.

They’re definitely jacked up. I messed around with volume slider, turned “Change With Volume” on and off, had alerts back to normal for a minute. Then they got all quiet again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Alerts always come thru on my Watch, unless my phone is unlocked, so I’ll just deal with it until the next beta. See what’s broke on that one! o_O

Fingers crossed this fixes the disappearing / displaying half way off the screen dock on my iPad Air 2 as that could only be fixed by a reboot once it got messed up. Reported it on both of the previous betas...

So that will be a no then....

The volume controls on the side of the phone work for me on my X. So similar to lowering the volume for music.

Why did I just update iPad Pro 10.5 to 11.2.5.pb3
Usually a beta lover though forgot the keyboard clicks from iphone, which are heard now via iPad Pro.

iPad Pro 10.5 update to iOS 11.2.5 beta 3. Holy Christ is this thing lagged out. All my stupid online games (Clash ‘O Clans, Boom Beach, etc.) are constantly freezing for 5-10 seconds. Buggy.

I'm having huge lags with my i7+.. even after a settings & network reset..

its happening to me too, my iPhone 8 is taking almost 10 hours of changing to complete full battery charge. I don't think it's a battery drain issue, it's just taking a very long time to fully charge the battery.
