At first it seemed like this was worse than beta 2 on my iPhone SE. Animations were painfully slow and jittery. I tried a hard reset, and after a few minutes of use, things seem smoother than beta 2. Hopefully it stays this way...

The beta agreement makes it very clear that your main device should not be the device you use for testing.

In fact, they put this in big letters right above the developer agreement before you agree to the terms:

Recommend. Not require.

Then there's an entire section within the agreement on precautions around the pre-release software.

So? it's all standard "you can't sue us" stuff. Nothing to do with "require" or against TOS.

Does anyone know yet if this fixes the previously reported connection issues with watchOS 10.3.3 beta?

Not willing to risk my watch on watchOS 4 quite yet but i am looking to try 11 on my iPhone if the watchOS 10.3.3 still works ok. Got 11 on my iPad Air 2 with no major issues so far, and beta 3 even looks to have fixed a few apps that crashed on startup with b1 and b2.

Does anyone have issue with battery usage and standby time within settings. Mine shows the exact same amount time for both since last full charge. And I left my phone off alone for an hour. This was present for me with beta 2

There hasn't been a public beta of iOS 11 yet. The public beta terms are similar. Expect there to be bugs and don't install it on your daily-use devices.

Far too few understand what beta means. It means there will be bugs and other issues. They also expect every bug to be resolved with each new release. That's not how OS software development usually works in the beta stages.
Um, there IS a PB for 11. Not sure what you're talking about.

Just updated; some of the good news includes:

- Camera doesn't lag on startup of camera functionality
- Multi tasking screen not as clunky
- Passcode buttons make sounds again

Persisting issues so far:
- Force press on apps still a bit laggy, but better

Just curious. What is the TOS for Public Beta? Which I believe is already started and there seems to be a lot of issues for a Public Beta.

This early on even the Public Betas always have issues. They can be installed on your primary device but its not recommended, For those people who have a higher tolerance for bugs it won't be a problem.

On the bright side, closing apps from the app switcher on an iPad is much better now. Back to the “swipe up to close”.

This beta seems better than the first two on my iPad Air. It runs a bit cooler, Adguard adblock is working again and the animations are still laggy but a bit less.

The bug I had where each time I connect my charger it said my accessory was not supported (but would still charge my device, even though there was no indicator) has been fixed.

And from what I have seen in the very short time of usage, the battery is still about the same as previous betas, perhaps a bit better. But it still goes down faster than iOS 10.3. And settings is suddenly mostly in English instead of Dutch.

Force-quitting an app on iPad can now be done by swiping it up off the screen from mission control.

Am i the only one who thinks that this looks like crap? I hope this isn't the final design.
I'm designing apps based on the new design for the App Store, Apple Music and such, and let me tell you; this new design (a lot of margins, white space and that big header) really make a difference in order to have room to breathe, specially with apps that have a lot of images. Also I think it looks good when everything in the background is white. It will grow on you.

I downgraded only because my ad blocker wasn't working. Battery did get a little warm too.
Yeah I always do a day of the betas then back to the previous version. I report a few bugs and realise that they changed something fundamental that I'm gonna hate and will never get used to. This time round it's notification centre or the lack of it on opening it! pointless and frustrating along with lack of quick access to airplay options, it's now 4-5 clicks and long presses that is totally unacceptable. Oh well I think I might stick to the last ios10 for a year or so this time round and me a rebel.
