I don't think this is a bug. Rather it's a safety feature so that you can focus on reversing which supersedes music. Also allows collision beep to be heard.

GPS is fixed. It locks on much quicker.

Other issue is audiobooks in iBooks on CarPlay restarts my audiobooks back to the beginning every time I got back in the car on beta 2

It still takes an inordinately long time for a screenshot or a photo to show up in the photo browser. :/

At least the Awards tab show up in activity now. I like the new look too!

Just installed it. Performance is a lot better than beta 2, and a few apps that were having issues are fixed now! Happy with this update. Playing around with the Maps app is fun too!

Haptic Feedback - On devices with a Home button and haptic feedback, the Home button no longer buzzes every time the iPhone is unlocked. This was an issue on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7.

When and how was this an iPhone 6s Problem which doesn’t have a solid haptic home button?

Haven't read the release notes yet. But did they address any of the CarPlay issues in this update?

I was having the issue where it would shutdown CarPlay and time I activated my back camera or changed the mode I was driving in. This is fixed now... what issue were you experiencing

Though limited to the San Francisco area during beta testing, the new Maps features will roll out to all of California when iOS 12 launches, followed by additional locations across the United States.

Why do we still have maps in iOS? It's such a waste of space.

Will this finally fix the insane battery life issue that came with 11.4?!? My battery was just fine until I upgraded to 11.4 and now it drains from 100% to around 10 - 5% overnight, while no apps are open...!
