So, I deleted the beta profile (currently I am with bt2) and the developer beta 3 appeared. (By my phone is developer registered).

How is that possible? So if I delete my public beta profile I will get all dev updates instead?

That's what happened with Beta 2... and now it seems to be happening with Beta 3.
(For the record: iPhone 6 here, with Beta Profile, no updates yet)

Not on mine. Didn't you delete your Public Profile to get the Developer version, like many people did when Beta 2 was launched?

Ok, I have to vent:
Beta 1 had a fantastic feature very few people use.

When you long press a keyboard key, it presents you with international accented options. Originally, this list also included the unaccented key, and you *always* had to slide your finger in order to reach the desired accentuation. In Beta 1, they simply removed the unaccented key from this list, and 99% times the accented letter you wanted was right there, under your finger already! So good.

But in Beta 2 they reverted the behaviour. I never realized how annoying it is to keep sliding my finger to the desired letter. Beta 1 spoiled me... =( ... so little hope of it being implemented again on Beta 3, or ever.
File a complain in the feedback if you don't see it

Can confirm, deleted the beta profile and restarted my phone, now I'm updating to beta 3.

Fixed my time problem! :):apple:
iOS 9.0.2 on other devices also fixed my time problem.

The notification stuttering/lag on my iPad Air is unbearable. Can take 10s to clean on opening. Hope this fixes.

Notes and Known Issues

Apple ID

Known Issue

If you sign in with different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes during Setup Assistant, it may hang.

Workaround: Do not use different Apple IDs for iCloud and iTunes during Setup Assistant. After setup, sign in by going to Settings > App and iTunes Stores.

iCloud Keychain Note

During the iOS 9.1 beta, iCloud Keychain accounts with two-factor authentication enabled will use beta servers. If you do not want your iCloud Keychain data stored on beta servers, do not use the beta software.

Fixed in Beta 3

If you disable two-factor authentication on your iCloud account, your iCloud Keychain may also get turned off.

Workaround: Confirm that iCloud Keychain is still on in Settings after disabling two-factor authentication.

When activating iCloud Keychain in Settings on iPad, you may be unable to complete the activation.

Known Issue

Sometimes while setting up iCloud Keychain, you receive a "Could Not Set Up iCloud Keychain" error. Workaround: Reboot the device.

Metal Note
For tvOS Metal development, it is required that you use the tvOS-specific feature set enum MTLFeatureSet_TVOS_GPUFamily1_v1.

PhotoKit Known Issue

If your app gets the gesture recognizer from the PHLivePhotoView object (via playbackGestureRecognizer) to install it on a different view, subsequently setting a new value for livePhoto on the PHLivePhotoView object causes it to reinstall the gesture recognizer on itself.

Workaround: Your app can get the gesture recognizer and reinstall it on the appropriate view every time after setting a value for livePhoto.

Podcasts
Fixed in Beta 3

The sleep timer does not work in this beta.

Restore
Fixed in Beta 3

If you’ve set a region that doesn’t match your language, restores from iCloud Backup might not progress.

Workaround: During restore, change your region to match your language. You can change it back after the restore is over.

Known Issue

Sometimes while restoring from iCloud backup, you will not see your list of backups, if you have two-factor authentication enabled on your iCloud account.

Settings Known Issue

Settings may become unresponsive after signing into an iMessage or FaceTime account. Workaround: Quit Settings from the App Switcher.

Siri
Known Issue

When asking Siri to play music, Siri will return an error but will still play back the music requested.

UIKit Note

On 3D Touch capable devices, touch pressure changes cause touchesMoved:withEvent: to be called for all apps running on iOS 9.0. When running iOS 9.1, the method is called only for apps linked with the iOS 9.0 (or later) SDK.

Apps should be prepared to receive touch move events with no change in the x/y coordinates.

Performance improvements for the iPad 3 are def. there. It still needs some work but its getting there. Usability is better than 8.4.1

I think some confusion is being caused here...

All you people saying delete the public beta profile and B3 will appear - are you all registered devs, or are you saying this works for non-devs too?

It works for non-deves too.

Yes and no. The dev beta and public beta are one and the same. So the devs get the update a day earlier then Apple has been sending it to public beta testers the next day. Deleting the public profile will cause the dev beta to come down to your device. Or you can wait until most likely tomorrow and you will see the public beta appear. At least that's how they have been doing it and of course could change anytime.

Have Public Beta profile on my 6S Plus, I see the update to Beta 3 as well. I will have to wait until I get home to download and install it though. No wifi at work :/

NEVERMIND, I SEE THIS IS NOT TRULY AVAILABLE FOR THE PUBLIC BETA, ITS AVAILABLE FOR DEVELOPERS

FYI ... I had been running the 9.1 Dev Beta 2 but then installed the Public Beta Profile so I could get the Feedback app. When I checked for the Beta 3 it said it wasn't available, but after I removed the profile and then rebooted my phone it now sees 9.1 Dev Beta 3.

Do we know yet if iPhone 6s will support Apple Pencil and if iPad Pro supports 3D Touch? It seems like these two go together, but Apple has been intentionally vague about it. Apple typically does not add the marquee features of the new iPhones to iPad for a full calendar year, so it wouldn't be surprising for the iPad Pro to not have 3D Touch...but...doesn't kinda have to? Maybe? Maybe not...
