Good to hear that Illustrator again works. I was thrilled when there was a new update for it yesterday to "fix startup crashes", but it did zilch.

Let's hope it fixes the intermittent non-loading of websites and all the Facebook quirks (latest seem to be text boxes losing the ability to post by hitting enter).

Sadly, it killed meh Scrivener also. I tried deleting the Library file as someone else suggested but that did not help. I double click the icon, 2 seconds later it generates a crash report. This really a bummer, as it is one of my most used apps.

DB3 seems quite solid for me so far. Also feels more responsive and apps load quicker than they did in b2.

same here! Very fluid in most apps especially Safari! Hopefully, it stayed like this or gets better but no less in final release...

Really?! Wow I just tried it again and now it worked. maybe deleting the library folder helped. weird.
Try this: Create a new User in Users and Groups, next log out and into the new User, does it open, if so something is preventing it from running it in your normal User Account.

Amors just said it works on his machine, this tells me it could be some 3rd party software that is causing the crash, or a plugin.
Experiment. I create new clean user account: Scrivener works fine on my old account, but crashes on new account.

Hello guys,

When the first beta was released, I read somewhere that Metal was only active on the Intel GPUs. There were some reports of MacBook users that the UI was now butter smooth, which was not the case on my iMac with the 780m Nvidia chip. Has this changed with beta 2 or 3?

So far, overall feels crisper and faster. Except safari which still occasionally judders when scrolling :/ Would be really nice to get safari some metal optimization, after all its the app that most people use the most.

I'm a rolling stone.
Experiment. I create new clean user account: Scrivener works fine on my old account, but crashes on new account.

Weird, normally it's the other way around.

Something (Keyboard shortcut) changed in Safari, I always opened Macrumors with Command-4, 4 is the forth position on my bookmarks bar, it does not work anymore, instead it goes to the 4th open Tab???
Anyone has a solution for this?
cheers.

Edit: Nevermind, I found the answer myself, the keyboard shortcut changed to Command-Option-4(number key)

From Beta Software Guide:

Known Issue in Public Beta 1
Some 32-bit apps may quit unexpectedly. Affected apps include Scrivener, MacSOUP, Torch, Cisco Jabber, iBiz and others. An OS X Software Update that resolves this issue will be available soon.

I installed the DP3 today and had issues with Safari crashing. I ran Safari 9 Seed 2 before the upgrade and it seems that this bothers the DP3..At the end I had to revert to 10.10.4 by using my Time Machine backup..

Scrivener support has provided a solution to getting Scrivener working again:

1. Go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy.
2. Choose the last "Privacy" tab.
3. Choose "Contacts" from the list on the left.
4. On the right, where it says "Allow the apps below to access your contacts", un-tick "Scrivener".

Scrivener will then open as normal in Beta 3.

Sorry, but you are WRONG. 10.11 is named after the place in California which does not use the accent. Your issue is with the place name, not the OS name.

And more specifically than place it's a mountain in Yosemite National Park.

Um. Sorry for the immaturity, but I the only one who read 'There's more to love with every d*ck'?

I'm not even trying to make a joke. It's just what my eye saw.

:p Get your mind out of the gutter ;)

Perhaps it's the influence of an openly gay CEO. Notice that the new News app icon is pink. The new Siri animation is rainbow-colored. The iOS 9 wallpaper has a rainbow overlay.
