So if you go to a doctor and he/she misdiagnoses you, would you say that the quality of medical care has matured because we know more diseases now, hence it's OK to be misdiagnosed?

Apple has > $400 billion in their pockets. There is no excuse for rookie mistakes like that. They can hire all the talent in the world if they wanted to, to make sure major mistakes don't happen, yet major mistakes continue to happen.
It's a beta. It's not supposed to be nor expected to be stable. If you're seriously going to whinge about beta software behaving like beta software, then I really don't know what to tell you.

The issues I refer to extend far beyond the beta. Indeed the beta is full of bugs and I get that it's a beta.
Remember the iOS8 release? Remember the Maps release? These are just two examples of public releases that went terribly wrong.
Also I am not sure how many of you have used Apple long enough to be able to compare, but I have... and I can tell you that during Steve Job's time, I've never seen so many issues with Apple software, as I see now. I would guess major issues would be the result of major changes, but for the past few years, iOS is doing small incremental updates with some UI changes (yes flat design was a big change, but just UI...no explanation why that update broke Wifi for example).

Yes, but never in the history of the universe has anyone expected a BETA to be polished software. This is why it's not available to the general public. It's not even a public beta yet. The purpose for THESE beta builds are so that DEVELOPERS (like me) can start building apps for the new SDKs and report bugs to Apple. They're not for a bunch of whiney early adopter users to complain about Apple's software quality.

well said... bravo!

Hi Everyone. I sat through the pain of beta 1 and 2, and can confirm that my Watch is back to life! beta 3 restores the Taptic Engine!!!!!

Great news! How about speed? Is it still very slow or they fixed that?
I am also curious to see if the battery will last longer than 4hrs with beta 3...installing now, but will take a while :/

No joy with WatchOS beta 3...
It downloaded then it went to "Preparing" phase, and the Apple Watch app crashed...that repeated 3 times so far. iPhone reboot - no longer detects the Apple Watch.
Anyone else having issues like that?

The battery on WatchOS2 beta 2 was horrible, the watch lasted 6h for me with minimum usage at job, which is awful. The WatchOS1 amazing. I hopeWatchOS2 Beta 3 will fix the battery issue :>

Mines 44min to download, it was 5 hours before, but it went to 40 min quick... I hope I get it soon

Downloading now. Just ordered a box to get my watch restored to OS1. I'll see how Beta 3 goes before I get the return shipping box.

is there a new beta 3 profile or should it just be showing up? i'm still 'up to date' according to Software Update.

You aren't really comparing apples to apples. It's more like, "So if you go to a 3 year old pretending to be a doctor and he/she misdiagnoses you, would you say that the quality of medical care has matured... blah blah blah." At some point, you have to take responsibility for your own actions. I haven't been able to use my apple watch for the past month because I chose to update it. That isn't apples fault. It's my fault. I was warned, I didn't listen, and now I have to wait patiently until the actual release. Complaining about Beta software is equivalent to going to a new restaurant on a friends and family night and demanding your money back even though it was free. It just doesn't make any sense.

Yes you can.

1) Unpair the watch from your phone
2) Dump your phone from iOS 9 to 8.4
3) Restore phone with known watch os backup
4) Re-pair Watch to iOS 8.4 device
5) when it pop ups the backups available - restore the iOS 8 / Watch OS 1.0 backup.

Source; It worked for me.
Pics or it didn't happen. Restoring to a backup from a previous version does not downgrade the watchOS. Plus you can't pair a watchOS 2 device with iOS 8

I suggest that we agree to disagree... it seems that everyone is so focused on using my statement in relation to the betas alone, not accounting previous public releases, that it makes no sense to argue.
