You're working harder to bash Apple and iOS, yet you fail so miserably.
They nearly went bust in the mid 90s...once again how does anything that we've been talking about relate to the 90s? Try and keep up buddy.
I'll try and dumb it down for you so you can follow what I'm saying. There has been consistent success since the iPhone came out - surpassing that of any other handset manufacturer.
My back side has more coherent arguments than anything you seem to be able to come up with.
OK wiseguy, go back to playing your games. By the way you express yourself, you must be under 16. Enjoy life while you can, but playing games is not going to make you any smarter; on the contrary, it's doing the opposite to you.

Well, if we base our conclusions on your revolutionary way of thinking:
- KIA is better than Lexus, because there are a lot more KIA than Lexus vehicles in circulation.
A lot of people get an Android phone because they get lured by the "buy one, get one free" offer. i know several people who later resented not getting an iPhone.
Everywhere I go, I see the majority of people using iPhones or iPads.
Last month I was at MIA, and almost every person in the waiting area were using their phones or tablets. Among the hundreds of people there, I only saw a couple of Android devices in use. I wonder why....

Oh wow...yet another thread that resulted in a pissing match between Apple/iOS/iPhone and Samsung/Android/Galaxy S. When will it end? Probably when Apple and the New World Order takes over after the imminent zombie apocalypse in 2013. 
Here's my take, not that I expect anybody to care, but I'm going to post it anyways. Ready? It's all personal preference.
I too know a bunch of people that bought the Android tablet bundle at AT&T and the only reason they still have it is because they didn't want to pay the restocking fee to return it for the iPhone and iPad.
I'm gonna buy a phone based on what it can do for me not what it can do for you or your uncle's dog. Just saying.

Now pandamonia, I must interject because I am an Apple fan and I love their products. So much in fact, I've also become a stockholder. But rather than giving my own opinions, I'll just state facts. You question Apple's success but point out that they nearly went bust in the 90's?!? Apple's market cap to date is right around $623 billion. Not to mention that they have $100 billion in cash reserves. Not sure where you're from or what you do for a living, but I'd say that's pretty darn successful. But like the Katt Williams' quote above, your job is to hate, so you're just doing your job...

Apple makes all this money by selling low spec phones with slow CPU's little ram and minimum memory. Charging £100 per increase in Nand and only doing a design once every 2 years. Locking you into iTunes and stopping you doing everything such as Tethering (which used to be free before Apple iPhone) It even tried to stop you putting free ringtones and watching video not bought from iTunes at one stage.
It makes me laugh when people applaud Apple and their mountain of cash. They have got that by maximising their profits from giving you as little as they can and charging you as much as they can.
I wonder why this isn't yet on this website: Apple just lost a patent trial against Samsung in Japan.

When you look at the total global score, only the trial in California was a real triumph for Apple. And cynical as I am, this is not really surprising.

This discussion has now turned funny. I feel like I'm talking to a stubborn child who doesn't understand reality.
The facts: Apple is the most successful (they earn the most profit). Apple makes its customers the happiest (consumer satisfaction is the highest compared to Android).
Arguing that Apple iDevices are inferior is a losing argument based solely on the facts. You can't change reality. Better would be to understand what Apple is doing right, rather than slandering them because their devices don't suit you. It only makes you look ignorant and even insecure.

Its not the best Phone on the market by far. Its not the best OS either. i have had 5 iPhones so im well aware of the iPhone. How many have you owned?
I can take a look at both platforms and see that iOS is a closed OS and ecosystem designed to maximise Apples profit and keep you from doing things on your phone Apple doesnt want you to do.
Might be ok with you but its not ok with me.
PS. i can see you joined August 2012 and you come here talking me to me like you know what your talking about? i have been on the iPhone since the beginning. Im not a sheep riding the wave of popularity like you.
You fail to answer any of my arguments and you ignore the facts then you pull the old "well I have more experience therefore I am right". No it just adds to you arrogant and misguided image.
When and why I joined has no bearing in this discussion and once again is not an argument to support your cause. I have been following this site for a while and only decided to join the forums to fire back at ignorant people like you.

P.S. a closed system was designed to provide the best integration between software and hardware - the fact that Apple is so successful shows that this approach is working.

You sound like you bought right into the Apple marketing spin. Closed system = control of revenue. If it was such a good idea then why is there a huge amount of Jailbreaking going on?
The only argument you have attempted to put forward is that Apple has the highest customer satisfaction surveys (which isnt surprising if people like you fill them out) and they make the most profit.
Neither of those prove its the best Phone on the market.
Ferrari and Lamborghini hardly make any money and they are known to set on fire every now and then. But they make some of the best cars in the world.
Your Apple Fanboyism is off the charts. Owning 5 iPhones gives me perspective and experience that you dont have. I can see right through the bull crap Apple spouts out. You cant. Your blind devotion to all things Apple makes your opinion worthless in open debate.
I still use OSX and buy some Apple products which makes me neither a Fanboy or a hater and i think this is what bothers you most.

Now ive moved on to a better OS and a better system and a better specced phone with less restrictions and better features.

The jailbreaking point is void because the same can be said for why is there so much "rooting" going on for android. Some people like to tinker.
Also, I haven't raised any other points because you failed to answer my first one. In addition, there's no point in discussing why Apple's iPhones are better for the average consumer because you obviously are too smug to listen. Energy wasted on deaf ears.
You fail to understand that "better" is subjective. Better for you does not mean better for most. Period.
If it is a lot of people but a low percentage of Android buyers it doesn't mean nothing.

Most of the trolls have joined in the past year. They own a shiny new iphone 4s and they are now the Apple experts and defenders.
Its the recent trolls who worship Apple like its their God.
Then theres the other side. People who have been with Apple since the first iphone was released. People who appreciate technology and acknowledge that both Android and IOS have their good and bad points.
Well, the judge said that they were too far into the prep for the legal process to adjust the paperwork to include the S3. Kinda like a project managed in a corporate company; it's called Scope Creep and managing that can be very tricky
