The issue for me isn’t just that it is limited in its abilities. The issue for me on 26.5 is that IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK! Yes, I’m yelling because it’s so darn frustrating. “Hey Siri, play Beatles Essentials.” The colored border comes up, it spins for a while, then it goes away. No response. Nothing. Not even a “try again later.” Just … nothing. I say the same command a minute later and it works. Why? Why can it work the second time but not have worked the first time?

If anything, in the last year or so Siri has gotten worse. It was always limited but it didn’t used to be so bad. Now it is is horrid.

Earlier this week I literally had to ask Siri the same command ten times before I got ANY response from Siri. This is why I simply do not trust Apple to have fixed Siri. I hope I’m wrong. But for Siri to have been in production for this many years and simply not work makes me skeptical that Apple has any chance of fixing it.
My comment was about the beta, not the current one — they are not the same architecture. Yes old Siri is frustrating. New SiriAI is leaped and bounds better. I imagine, due to the results so far, apple's Siri resources are firmly focused on the new one, not improving the old one. That may bring up other complications but they were never part of my argument.
