Apple Sends Out Invitations for October 22 Media Event: 'We Still Have a Lot to Cover'

i'm doing my best to hold off on the updated iMacs for this event. really excited about new macbook pros and mac pros

It sounds like there won't be a livestream of the event. The reason being that Apple can't stream fron their own campus. At least that is what René Ritchie said on this week Macbreak Weekly.

Do you really think they would announce an iWatch along ANY other products? I don't think so. If/when they announce iWatch, my money is on an all iWatch event– they'll talk about the iWatch and only mention the other devices with regard to their ability to pair with the iWatch.

I think this one will be 75% iPad, 25% Macs.

I see your point but I was going with the perception of more screen (even though its the same size) and less bezel so its more to cover. Perception I guess. But your point is completely valid.

This event is in downtown San Francisco, not at the old Apple campus.

If Apple actually has "a lot to cover" this will be the biggest reveal they've held in quite a long time. Hyped as usual... it will be even more interesting to see the reaction of this community. It's hard to image as 2013 is about to close, that Apple will do anything more than just talk. It'd be nice to be wrong.

Just an opinion like everyone else's, but I highly doubt it. No one's said anything about that whatsoever.

It would be kind of hilarious if their meaning behind "we still have a lot to cover" means nothing more than what it sounds like... That they have more products to talk about. Sometimes I think their PR department gets a chuckle out of the frenzy you guys get worked up into over these things.

it never works out like that -- it always conveys a special meaning. it's no accident, and it's the marketing department doing their job properly.

I'm plenty happy with what was revealed (all I cared about was the iPad mini + retina), but the amount of baseless, frothing excitement and rumor that goes on about these things just leads to everyone being that much more disappointed when Apple doesn't deliver the moon with every release.
