There aren't Harry Potter iPods...at least I think not.

I think they just engraved one with the Hogwart's crest as a gimmick now that the Harry Potter books are on iTunes.

EDIT: Shows what I know.
 
I sure as heck hope this is more than another cheap consumer device.

Cell phones already account for so many vehicle accidents, I'm afraid to even imagine what will happen when people are fooling around with an iTunes phone. Not to mention the safety risks involved if they have both ears plugged with ear buds.

I'm sure people will love these things, but I don't think it's a very good idea.

A pretty underwhelming bunch of announcements so far! Yeah, the playlists thing is nice, but a whole version bump? Please.

They wouldn't take the Store down just for iTunes 5... so there must be some hardware coming...

BTW, cool features for Outlook/Outlook Express support. Nice!

EDIT: And the hardware to which I referred is NOT the ROKR phone, since Apple won't actually be selling that...

Very true. I suspect that there will be new iPods (mini, shuffle, and phone)too. But other than that, not much.

They'd take the store down just for the engraved Harry Potter iPod. So that and the phone is it on hardware would be my bet.
 
I think that the Harry Potter iPod ( HP iPod? LOL ) is brilliant marketing towards kids and parents right before the holiday shopping season cha-ching! :cool:
