Whether multiple app stores comes to pass or not is out of my control. I am not for it.
That’s fine and I respect your opinion. Obviously I don’t agree but I’m glad we can have a sensible debate about it. Far too often these issues end up in a slanging match.

Apple stock is near an all time high. FEDGOV IRS policy is about to change substantially to the adverse interests of businesses including the largest one. I have a suggestion for the folks leading AAPL. Suspend buy backs for a couple years. Do a large secondary offering right now to get a pile of tax free cash and since AAPL is in high demand for safe portfolios it will fund easily. Park the money for a rainy day. In about 2 years when the Biden economic policies are realized, there is likely to be considerable disruption akin to 2008-9. Pull out the cash in 2023-4 to buy up discounted assets. At that point increase the dividend to bolster AAPL stock. AAPL is uniquely situated to realize that "a crisis is a terrible thing to waste".

App Store record profits will only add fuel to the flames they're facing in court

Profit margin doesn’t matter as much as the percentage cut Apple needs to break even or make a profit, since the majority of developers earn Apple no profit. I am guessing 20% to break even based on some napkin math I did a while back.

Epic is totally barking up the wrong tree here.
