time to switch to samsung, today was disappointing

I wouldn't quite go that far. Samsung will break your heart too. Just give it a year.
 
EU prices are not that bad actually.. The problem is the weak Euro (or strong Dollar) which increases the prices in Europe by a lot these days, and not only for Apple stuff.

iPad in Europe (NL) is €487 excluding 21% VAT (sales tax), and in USA it's $449 ex. sales tax.

The price difference is because of the EU high taxes. Not really Apple's fault I think.
Yeah, but I always thought they took local taxes into account? At least partly… they have always made sure that official prices are somewhat “psychologically fixed”…

Well they failed big time with these new pricing, almost €600 for an entry level iPad is ridiculous.

It's more or less the same with the new MacBook Air, over €1.500 which used to be just around €1.000
My guess is that the new MBP 16 will reach €3.000 this time.
