Ok… I mean, to each there own, but I fail to see how not being able to back up iCloud is a hinderance.
If your data isn't important to you, well, that's on you. I expect to be able to have backups. Is there an SLA somewhere that says Apple is doing anything to protect data you put there?

Apple runs data centers with redundancy enabled for the data there. No company ever runs just 1 copy of the data.

Redundancy is there whether advertised or not. So I still fail to see your point.

As per my data, I have copies of it in my Mac, iPhone and iPad. If iCloud goes down and there truly is no back up at Apple, all that would happen is a trip load of the data from my devices.

Same thing if one of my devices goes down.
