These AI images I have seen lately (the Trump cats and ducks) look like this and is so off putting.
I hope they can do better in the future.

I’m actually excited. I’ve always been bad at sketching, but I love the idea of sketches and other images in notes and Freeform boards. If I can poorly draw something and have Image Playground make it look nice that would be great!

But more than that I’m excited for Genmoji. I like emoji but I can never find the one I want, usually it’s not there. For example
I want a yellow circle face “face-palming” but they don’t have it.

Humans are such a weird species. Invent the internet and use it to share funny cat videos and buy stocks just to sell them a nanosecond later.

Invent AI and use it to generate birthday cards at the cost of massive data centers consuming giga watts of power that we don’t really have.

What’s next?

Yes. I can see how such an emoji will solve a lot of problems for this world 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

AI art is so profoundly off-putting.

But that may not be a bad thing. As long as it is, it can never replace real art.
Yep, even if it is identical to what a real artist would make, I would still prefer the real art.

Hard to explain how I feel, but AI art feels so dead and soulless. Whereas with real art, I can feel the work and passion that artist has done to make that beautiful masterpiece. The artist has their own unique style that makes it more alive. AI art just copies.

I will probably only use this for tattoo ideas. Hopefully Apple is doing a better job at rendering and processing data than the others. All I ask for is a Man O’war with a few dreamcatcher feathers, instead I get a dreamcatcher with the colors of the Man O’War…….

The kids are going to go crazy for this. It's going to be so cool. It just needs to get better over time. Automatically being able to make an image based on someone in your photos is pretty slick. This takes a decent amount of work in Stable Diffusion or Flux. I hope it's actually training data and not just "brown hair, white, freckles" level creation.

This is the least interesting part of generative AI but I do think generative cartoons could be helpful as Genmoji at reining in the never-ending addition of Emojii. Get rid of the Emojii keyboard and simply generate a new one for a reaction, with only favorites and recents available to pick from. Scrolling through Emojiis stopped being useful at least 5 years ago.

Why aren’t they developing the iPhone to be the most powerful pocket computer you can purchase at an affordable price, something you can truly hook up to a computer monitor and use as a makeshift laptop?
Or develop the hell out of some shatter-proof oled screens?
Or even try to move into the hologram era or something?
Where is the true innovation?
Would love to see DeX for iPhone and iPad.

Looks horrible to be honest. Hopefully this awful "AI fantasy" aesthetic won't be around for long as AI rapidly advances.

Oh man, you lot going on and on about how horrible it looks. Where is your imagination? Be glad you haven't lived in the era of ASCII art when on a dial-up modem :) It's like being on some photo forums, all some people can comment about is that a picture is nice and sharp. Something noone ever said about the most iconic photos taken ever.
