Hahahahahahaha
To kickoff its 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple shared a humorous "Backstage" video starring Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader. Hader took on the role of David LeGary, WWDC's director, prepping for the big show.
As of this afternoon, Apple's uploaded the "Backstage" video to YouTube, giving those who missed the WWDC keynote live stream a chance to watch the opening act.
The video makes references to several apps like Angry Birds and Tinder, with several app mascots on hand. There's a guy in a bird costume for Angry Birds, and a goat for Goat Simulator. Community's Danny Pudi raps a silly song during the video, and it ends showing just a water bottle and a laptop after a power failure. "All right, we'll work with it," says Hader. "I'll tell you what, whoever walks out there better have something incredible to say."
Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is wrapping up later this week. During the keynote event, the company debuted iOS 9, OS X 10.11, watchOS 2, and Apple Music.

I had no idea it was an actor playing the part. I assume he's an actor. Or is he a comedian? Most of us outside the US have probably never heard of him. I certainly haven't. Oh wait, he's an "alum", whatever that is.
Anyway, i enjoyed it!
My cat liked that video a lot.It was better than the iOS 7 WWDC intro where they showed like a 2 minute trailer of just lines and dots with a smooth voice talking about design and all that other stuff. Bored people to sleep.
I agree...but they can't see the irony because they live in a fairytale world.Oh, the irony....
That was not only the best opener ever but one of the best short tech videos of all time. As someone who tries to understand the artistry of Apple designers and engineers, it made me think, laugh and even cry. Anyone who is a fan of Apple, their products and business should memorize every single word in it because it is the soul of Apple, like it or not.It was better than the iOS 7 WWDC intro where they showed like a 2 minute trailer of just lines and dots with a smooth voice talking about design and all that other stuff. You don't know what a Saturday Night Live alum means? We in the US pretend to like Monty Python for you guys. He is a comedian/actor that got his start on a little known program called SNL. It has only been on since the 70's. You should check it out.
I think Tim is really starting to take Apple in his direction versus preserving Steve's. This opening number was good and certainly a break from tradition. Also Tim not giving any stats at the beginning. Although I was disapointment to not hear about an iPad pro or the ATV upgrade, there were some nice tidbits in there.
Things are really changing for Apple - the culture is definitely beginning to show more Tim and less Steve.

Yeah, the reason for Tim not giving stats is because the Watch has sold terribly.
Yeah, he should have the Samsung CEO on stage talking about how making components for Apple is all that's keeping Samsung running. That would really demonstrate the terrible numbers.Yeah, the reason for Tim not giving stats is because the Watch has sold terribly.
Very few cast regulars get known outside America. Until I moved here, I thought Wayne's World (1 & 2) were standalone movies by just some guys. Blues Brothers had an awesome movie, also just some guys that made a hundred movies. We knew of Eddie Murphy because of Raw, Delerious, and BHC. Bill Murray and Chevy Chase got lucky with some movies back in the 80s.
The problem with SNL outside America is worse than Monty Python outside England. SNL is funny and topical for a very short window of time (perhaps a week or two) due to its fast-paced nature and relying on stuff happening this week for inspiration. It got lucky with people like Chris Farley who could drive a sketch by themselves, but people who can do that are very far in between. If you edit each episode to be "attainable" by an audience outside America, you'd be very surprised at how little is left.
At least a few of us are getting weary of these arrogant billionaires at Apple who think they're so cute. Give us upgradable computers again rather than 'throw away after 3 years' overly thin underperforming dreck, and stop being so proud of yourselves.Ah.. Hilarious..

We all are supposed to think they're so cute, and cool. I'm just saying some of us are weary of their whole MO, this video included. Now call me a trol, that's fine. just posting my thoughts. What's that got to do with the WWDC opening video?
