Ah yes, the "gift guide" aka what you publish when you don't have any black friday deals but want people to still buy your products.
You think the Touchbar was worth a $500 markup? Not everyone is poor or thinks Apple products are expensive. Many see value.
More like Apple guide to empty your wallet.Apple gift guide. Now that's funny
Apple products are tools for tasks.
I've been with Apple for years. I teach at the college level and I can say the amount of my students that are not liking Apple these days is growing. For the first time since I started teaching, I can say that the number of Macs has drastically declined this year. I used to love Macs, and I have converted many labs into using Macs. The new Macs though are just not as reliable. I also love iPad, but the inability to open two Word documents at a time on the iPad Pro is a bit ummm unprofessional. I have never met a 'professional' that does not need to view multiple documents at a time.Actually I'm starting to think that Apple is aiming to be more of a "fashion brand" than a real tech company that makes valued products. I think they want to be Gucci or Armani more than say well... the Apple we once knew.
How much will Apple charge for people visiting their webpage? How much is Apple charging for the iGuide?
What does half of Americans having less than 1k in savings have to do with anything. It’s not my problem they are financially illiterate. Overtime, most people recoup half cost by selling their devices. You are not paying a markup for the Apple ecosystem and better quality of life Apple products produce in productivity. If you want to be poor, that’s in You, but there are many satisfied Apple customers who have no problem paying the Apple tax at the end of the day.You think the Touchbar was worth a $500 markup?
You think $200 for 8gb of ram or 128gb of SSD is value?
You think paying 25% more for a new model iPad is savvy?
You think an OLED phone at 25% extra or 3 year plan to pay it off is a great deal?
We get it, you're not poor, but ya sure do waste a lot of money. Over half of Americans have less than $1000 in savings. Your "many" is not as many as you think.
No one said they aren't, but I do a lot more than "tasks" on my Apple products.
you schmuckIt’s not my problem they are financially illiterate.
you don't get half back on Apple products unless you are selling it after 1 year...Overtime, most people recoup half cost by selling their devices.
Apple gouges as much as it can get away with, that won't go on foreverYou are not paying a markup
you schmuckIf you want to be poor, that’s in You,
I guess that means no Airpods 2. Oh well, still buying some for Christmas. Just hope they don’t release version 2 shortly thereafter.
you don't get half back on Apple products unless you are selling it after 1 year
I would hope so too, Apple products are the most expensive on the market.Regardless, Apple products have some of the highest resale value over any other tech products on the market. That’s the nature of tech in general, that it depreciates because its superseded by something else the following year. It’s not really a difficult concept to gather, but given the popularity/ demand for used Apple products on the market, they hold somewhat decent value, especially the iPhone.
