Apple today released a trio of short ads designed to promote the Apple Card, which is Apple's credit card that continues to be limited to the United States.

The Sock, Sweater, and Ladder spots all highlight different Apple Card features. Sock focuses on the Daily Cash back reward, Sweater demonstrates the option to see past purchases, and Ladder shows the ease of paying an Apple Card balance through the Wallet app.

All three ads feature the tagline "Reboot your credit card" and link to the Apple Card website so that potential customers can get more information.

Apple Card has been available in the U.S. since 2019, and it integrates with the Wallet app for easy purchase management. Daily Cash back, which is delivered same-day, is one of the key features. Customers get one percent cash back from standard physical card purchases, two percent for Apple Pay purchases, and three percent cash back at select partner stores and Apple retail locations.

I jut got mine. So far, so good, and earning interest right away is better than sitting on rewards points that I hoard in wait for gift card sales (I'm looking at you, Ultimate Rewards, and you're one of the better programs out there).

I have had the Apple Card since August 2019. At this point, I have gotten thousands back in cash back and it's been far better than the points based CC's I used to use.

Apple Card has zero card benefits other than cash back compared to other no-fee cards: zero extended warranty, zero protection from loss/theft in first X days, rental car coverage, etc etc. Other than Apple purchases (3% back), there are other no fee cash back cards which offer way more consumer protections with useful web sites and live support staff.

Really like the ads - the actors are very expressive and they go through some humorous turns. They leave me with a good feeling about the product, which is what an ad is supposed to do.
I think I agree. It may not make sense, but I really don’t know if I like these ads or not. They give me the feeling, like I might imagine, an ad equivalent to a Wes Anderson movie would.

I love my Apple Card. I don't really have anything bad to say about it since I don't really care about the cash back and I don't care about the missing offers that something like Amex gives me. The fact that Apple Card focuses on Privacy and it actually helps you pay more of your balance to avoid interest (which you are able to see before you are charged) makes it a no brainer card for me. I'm rocking Amex, Apple Card, and Navy Federal and that's it.

Really like mine. Used throughout a recent trip to Greece. No foreign transaction fees, and everyone (outside of cabs) accepted contactless payments, so I was earning cash on each transaction — nice! I withdrew a total of 20€ for the entire trip — everything else was through my iPhone. I don’t get why some people still use cash abroad, especially given the bank fees that have been jacked up.

I'm vaguely tempted to get an Apple card... except I have too many credit cards already. 😥
I was in the same boat when they first offered this card. But in the end I got caught up in the excitement and applied. I would say I never use the physical card (which is kind of a shame because it looks so cool) because it only pays 1%. I do use it for the occasional 2% (with Apple Pay) and for the Apple Store purchases, 3%.

I don't know what you mean. When I lived in UK I had to manually pay a credit card balance too.

I think you might be confused credit vs debit here.

Even in Europe you have to pay it manually (unless you set it up as automatic which is possible in USA/Canada too)

As a European the idea that you have to manually pay a credit card balance still feels wild

Still, the card looks very slick and I’m very jealous we don’t get it :p

I don't understand why its not available in Canada. Its been 5 years, whats taking so long?

The banking system is soooooo archaic! Moves like molasses. I've been waiting for 15 YEARS for BMO to add Messaging to their Mobile app. Still don't have it. AND the messaging feature is even worse in their latest web banking update, not to mention taking DAYS to get a response back. Such a shame how clueless they are to what consumers expect these days.

One of the things Apple did right. Apple card, with Apple Pay, & ease of use/tracking. Love to use & not having to drag my phone along, with still having full functionality on my watch when I shop. Also, hard to beat 2% back on everything.

I have one and in terms of support they are just as good as my Discover and much better than my Capital One. 2% is all purchases using Apple Pay, so just pay contactless with your phone to get it.

Love the Apple Card...would love more perks. Amex gives me up to 6% cash back on groceries...Discover 5% cash back on a rotating category. Capital One Savor 3% back on Food and Entertainment. If they could do an Apple Platinum or something for people with excellent credit profiles and more perks, I would love that!

This is what keeps me away from getting one. They don’t really offer enough compelling reasons to convince me to switch from Amex. I also don’t need to add anything else to my wallet.

The Amex extended warranty and purchase protection is seriously hard to give up.

I got it just to have access to the 4.4 APY savings account. 3% on Apple purchases was a just a nice bonus.
Still using my other CC for 2% on everything else though.
