More likely to be in October. The iPads seem to be on an 18 month upgrade cycle. Not expecting it but almost wondering if they do a iPad Pro M5 refresh alongside new ipadOS 26.

Lets look in my glass ball what this actually means….
I’ve been ready to go back for awhile. I can’t wait to see it. It’s a small teaser but I’m already intrigued. What’s old is new again 🤩
No seriously, I am glad they are finally changing something about the look.
You have the choice to disable most transparency on macOS as well if you dislike it. I see no reason why that would change, so not really sure what your point is?Alright, point taken. Implementation of it might have not been the best at the time, but it still was a choice.
Hopefully the don’t announce 26 things in 25 that aren’t partially available until 27 and fully baked until they are announcing 28-29 in WWDC 27 & 28.It's already confusing that the "26" things will be released in 2025, and announced at WWDC 2025, no? Like when you're doing your taxes but they're for the year before?
I feel the same way. Finally got a Pro Motion iPhone and Mac, finally get to enjoy the UI the way it is intended to while trying to juggle overstimulation with all the flashy colors and animations (which is why I use a minimum grey scale filter in my iPhone) and Apple might just make me return to use the increase contrast option to not lose focus when on my devices.I have a feeling I'm going to hate this new UI, I really like a flat minimalistic approach this seems like too many "effects"
I’ve been thinking this, too.Rendering glass interfaces like Apple does uses far more GPU power in idle. Another power move to make more machines obsolete.
Right? Even if you liked any previous design, before Dark Mode, using any Apple OS in the dark or at night was an eye piercing experience.Looking at the image hurts my eyes. So white. I really really really hope we dont go back to retina scalding bright white interfaces..
Maybe on a desktop, but not on any coulpe-year-old portable device. What’s the point of all these powerful chips if companies don’t use them to their full potential? I actually think that these chips are wasted rendering flat designs.
Yeah but it looks ugly on macOS. It not only reduces transparency but also increases contrast of certain UI elements. You have the choice to disable most transparency on macOS as well if you dislike it. I see no reason why that would chance, so not really sure what your point is?
I see where you are coming from, but „zero useful stuff“ is kinda harsh. At least the control center is customizable now and you can remove stuff that is irrelevant to you, like screen sharing. I’d argue that the iOS control center is much more useful than the Android one.He means we as marketing team.
That’s all they do nowadays, marketing has taken over.
New interface, new rainbow wallpapers, more glitches and zero useful or modern stuff.
Sad to see Apple turn to irrelevance after what Jobs was able to build.
Oh that's an easy one, it replaces the function of the unused "Camera" button.I'm already looking for the "Increase Contrast" toggle.
the best part about the Vision Pro is the user interface. When you using initially it really does feel like magic. it’s fun. The Ux issues come from it being a giant eye helmet. Every time you go to put it on you feel like you’re telling your whole family to leave you alone. If I lived on my own I’d probably use it all the time. I think everyone that ever uses it says they wish it was glasses. So much about it is so incredible but 3.5k is all anyone can see you are absolutely right. It’s worse bc they then nickel and dime on storage. If i could go back and advise apple I’d tell them if you must go 3.5k just put 1tb in there and make one sku. It would simplify manufacturing and it would take some heat off but no, you pay 3.5k then you pay hundreds more for extra storage. To be honest yeah i love the VisionOS too it’s so unfortunate that the price of that thing overshadowed everything else cause the Vision Pro it’s an unbelievable piece of technology but again the price is ridiculous.
Considering it comes out in the fall every year, naming it for the upcoming year seems perfectly fine to me.

Show OS 26 at WWDC ´25. Post OS 26 public beta in October ´25, get the .1, .2. … bugs out in Nov. and Dec, release OS 26 on 1/1/2026.Wait until you learn about Apple’s fiscal year.
Do you have examples? Because I don't see that. Increase contrast is a different toggle, you can leave that off when turning reduce transparency on.Yeah but it looks ugly on macOS. It not only reduces transparency but also increases contrast of certain UI elements.
