The advert industry did fine when all it had was billboards and TV spots and if anything this made adverts of a higher quality too. A good print ad can be a work of art and a good tv ad as memorable as any tv show. Heck, a decent radio jingle gets stuck in your head for days.

Internet and app ads are terrible in execution and visibility. Video adverts do not work on print pages! Anything that breaks this up deserves all the credit it can.

Super Well done. One suggestion, could have used the creepy Samsung stalker dude

What % of iPhone owners have never & will never pay for any app or in-app purchase ?

My best guess, outside of Game Apps, it's fairly high.

IMO, a high % of such iPhone owners will never upgrade to a newer iPhone, because most of the 100% FREE Ad-based apps that they have relied-upon the past decade will go the way of the DoDo Bird.

Such iPhone owners won't see ANY value of having a newer iPhone.

In other words, looking @ the BIGGER picture, iPhone Unit Sales will take a serious hit !

Just how BIG is anyone's guess.
I have a feeling the next Apple earnings call is going to prove you wrong.

Yeah it's great, but why did it take so long. Apple's been touting the privacy features of iOS forever.
umm you heard about the pushback from Facebook and the likes. sometimes change is not easy. Have you heard though, Google "might" be following suit

Do you understand exactly what apple's ad-tracking feature is? FYI, it allows users to choose to be tracked or not, sure most prefer not to be tracked, cause its - well, kinda creepy. Ads are not prevented at all, just more generic if you have ad-tracking off, as they should be.

so there won't be much impact, and if some companies don't like it, LOL, Google is following suit, however as they are a major abuser of ad-tracking, will it only be ad-tracking and privacy in name only?

Why does it matter if its Game app or not, purchasing is purchasing.
"High % of such iPhone owners will never upgrade"? seriously?
Won't see "ANY value" of having a newer iPhone, so people don't care about speed, battery life, new styles, better cameras, etc.
Also you realize that ads aren't going away, they just won't be tracking you from app to app, unless you have an account shared between the apps.

No clue how you derived these conclusions. First of all, think you are wrong about % of those that paid for apps. Clearly the App Store and folks selling apps there think you are wrong. Apple gets close to zero if no one buys anything. But okay, somehow the store and apps have been profitable for the past 13 years, it's about to collapse now, why? And you think people will stop upgrading phones?! Because of the status of the App Store? Because no one buys a new phone year after year for features like camera upgrade, screen quality or other hardware related features? they buy solely because of new apps? Is that what you are claiming here?

really no clue how you got to that conclusion or where you are going with it.

Wish Apple would make an ad about their support for end-to-end iCloud encryption. Oh wait…
I have no idea what you are talking about, and I'm not sure you do either. Here is some information on the subject easily gleaned:

"End-to-end encryption requires that you have two-factor authentication turned on for your Apple ID. Keeping your software up-to-date and using two-factor authentication are the most important things that you can do to maintain the security of your devices and data." https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202303

Makes good reading, give it a try!

Apple's been delivering privacy features for years but it all seems to have reached a boiling point this year when Facebook got publicly upset by Apple making it even easier to dismiss tracking. That will launch a dozen more ads just like this.

Great ad! But the tune.... "Why don't you mind your own business?" Because you ARE their business! That's what their businesses are built on!
