So you sin in other ways, but if your life depended on making a one-time choice to show arousal to males, you would choose death instead.

That's all very well, as I sincerely doubt you are capable of having your genitals suddenly start responding to males just because of any "thought/decision/choice" you make.

It's cause I know that life in Heaven (apart from sin) is far better then anything here. But while I'm here and as long as God gives me breath I will proclaim the truth in love. I know many of you don't agree with the Bible and that's the way it is. But I'm just exercising my freedoms just like you so long as I may have them.

...

Also for those Christians on here who are for LGBT consider these five questions.

Ok. You seem to disagree respectfully. Which is, frankly, refreshing. I will attempt to follow your lead and be respectful. I read you 5 questions, and I have 5 questions for you as a person who believes the Bible is the word of God.

1. Are you married? Did your father buy you a nice wife? Is she always obedient? (Or conversely, did your father sell you a to a nice man?)

2. The Bible says that when a woman is raped her father is to negotiate a marriage contract with the rapist. (At a discount of course since she's damaged goods). Do you agree this should be the norm?

3. Do you have children? I do, I have a five-year-old daughter who threw a fit yesterday and wouldn't listen to my commands. As you know the Bible commands me to tie her to a tree in stone her, I opted instead for time out. Do you believe parents should stone their children?

4. Do you own slaves? God is very supportive of the ownership of other people, if fact he even has rules as to how much you should beat your slaves. SPOILER ALERT: you shouldn't beat them so much they can't work the next day.

5. Do you pick and choose what you believe in the Bible? Or do you:

- think that men should never cut their beards
- always cover your head and refused to wear clothes that it been dyed
- believe that anyone who's ever eaten in a red lobster was going to hell. (I do believe this, but for different reasons)
- believe anyone with a tattoo is going straight to hell.
- Bacon equals hell

Listen, I'm not trying to pick on you. But people have hid behind the Bible during every major civil rights battle of the modern era. People argued that we can't end slavery, or allow women to vote, have basic civil rights and interracial marriage because of God.

I find it hypocritical. You said in your post that you just didn't want the gay agenda forced upon you. But you do wish to force your agenda on gays. Listen, my state has had gay marriage for over a year now and my heterosexual marriage has been affected in no way.

Oh. And I see you think that people aren't born gay, maybe it would help us all understand better if you talked about when you chose to be straight. Did you make a pros and cons list? Was it a hard choice? Or is it possible that you where you just always attracted to members of the opposite sex?

Yes I would. The Bible is the ultimate source cause it's the very Word of God. What better source then the very words of our Creator? Plus as I referenced in my initial post there is no such thing as a "gay gene".

Are you a parody?

Yes. Unless there is a Christian phone company I don't know about. LOL

Every company supports sin of one form or another cause we're all sinners. No one can escape it as long as they live.

Sounds like a very convenient justification you've created for yourself. Like I said: God will provide, but not enough so you'll skirt the issue and extoll your religious beliefs right up to the point that it becomes inconvenient/uncomfortable, enjoying the fruits of the labor of the sinners you sit in judgment of.

The whole universe is proof of His existence. There is absolutely no way this advanced and complex universe was the result of random chaotic chance. It was clearly designed by God and that is clearly laid out in Genesis 1-2.
Yeah, the Anthropic Principle would like a word with you.

And who says it's YOUR God, the war god of the Canaanite pantheon? I personally think it was the Great Invisible Pink Unicorn.

Nope, sexuality is not a choice. If it is, then tell us all about the time when you chose to be heterosexual, I'd love to hear that. Go ahead.

You're right. I did not "choose" to be heterosexual. But people do choose to be homosexual just like someone chooses to murder, rape, steal, lie, cheat, etc, etc, etc. By choosing to go against the natural desire for the opposite sex that God has instilled you are sinning. And unless a sinner of any kind comes to saving faith in Jesus they will go to hell. I deserve hell just as much as the next guy. But I believe I am going to Heaven purely by the love, grace and mercy of Jesus taking my place on the cross and providing THE way of salvation (John 14:6)

Bible literalists don't make any sense to any sort of reasonable person. So which translation is the word of god? How come so much of its has been striken from canon? How come there are so many contradictions all over the multiple texts?

If you believe in the literal Adam, Eve, Noah stories, there is no way you can be considered even slightly sound of mind, and your opinions on everything regarding other people should be questioned profusely, as people here are doing.

Take it back to the original texts and there is absolutely no consensus on things like "sodomy" - you just pick and choose which set of beliefs you want to go by and ignore the rest. Presumably you wear mixed fabrics, eat all different types of banned foods etc.. Disgusting, hypocritical hate mongering bible literalism.

Get out and see one for yourself, these parades are anything BUT intolerant, they invite people in and accept each regardless of race, religion and creed, and they have a good time doing so.

The hardest thing for people to do is to see common ground with those they disagree with. We can easily dislike that which we don't agree with, its harder to sit in front of that person and just see their view, be it religion, gun control, some misguided hate group or what have you.

You don't move on as a society limiting your mind view of these things. You reach out, you try and understand, and hopefully can accept them for whatever belief they have, hopefully opening a person's mind. You can't let ignorance of anything take hold.

Be it a white pride rally, black pride, gay pride, republican pride, gun pride, democrat pride, independent pride, if you don't engage, you don't learn, you dont grow as a person. Period.

Funny how this only works one way. Anyone from this community is open to parade their beliefs and thoughts but say some CEO donates to a christian group or organization because he has a different set of beliefs against such groups.... the public outcry to remove him for his job, publically attack him is the first thing these types of groups do. What I believe and do with my money is my own ****ing business. Just as they spend, support and do things to support their way of life. They put on a good show of "love everyone" but behind their computer screens and closed doors they turn the same hate and ******** against anyone that doesn't 100% believe what they do. These types (religious, political or otherwise) of groups it turns into mob mentality of "either accept what we believe or we will attack you." These people are not by any means the victims, they are the aggressors.

We no longer have freedom of speech in America unless you tie yourself some some extreme group that will have a **** fit if you don't believe in "their" belief. Bunch of hypocrites. I can be tolerant without accepting their belief, but that is never good enough for these kinds of organizations. The basic reason why war has raged on the earth for thousands of years. Tolerance is not good enough for so many people, they want to convert you 100% or kill you.

Okay so what do you suggest? You claim that "God will provide" yet you also are using a computer or smartphone sold by an LGBT advocating company to interact with people here. What does that make you?

To clarify, is there a part in the bible where God said that being homosexual is a choice (because there isn't a gene for it), or is that part of the truth in love something that you came up with on your own?

Using that logic, you have the ability to make a choice in which gender arouses your genitalia. And I think deep down inside, you know that's not true.

Did......did you just liken a homosexual to a rapist !!??

I have read that Tim Cook was accidentally "outed" on a news show. I guess this explains the overwhelming support. Having said that, I thought the video was well made.

Or maybe he's totally straight and he just has zero issue with other people being gay, Hispanic, Asian, short, fat, female or any other group that folks like to dump on.

Just because you are a single male with no apparent girlfriend and you're gay friendly doesn't mean you are gay. Consider how hypocritical it would be for him to be gay and not 'out' and yet marching in a parade like this. He's the figurehead of Apple. He might not be the rock star that Steve was but it would still be a huge PR flub to not be "a proud gay man supporting the rights of fellow LGBT" if that was the case.

I'm an atheist, so I'm not disregarding my own beliefs for the sake of convenience like you are.

Why ask for my suggestion when Jesus already gave you one: sell your possessions, give what you have to the poor, and follow him. God will provide everything you need.

EDIT: Oh, and I didn't claim that God will provide, the Bible does.

But you still don't get it. Doesn't matter the issue. Apple is a company that makes products. Not a stage for the latest front running social agenda. Any smart business man knows that remaining neutral is always the best way to run a company.

But there is no 'neutral' in this argument.

Taking that position would be the same as saying they are neutral on racism, or saying to their customers go ahead beat up your wives, we won't judge.

Hate speech is just wrong and opposing it is exactly the right thing for Apple's image. It's also the winning side of the argument... and if you want to be cynical about it... very smart marketing.
