Horrible…..only saw the name one and it promoted being deceptive or outright lying. wtf is with Apple lately? This is the epitome of cringeworthy.

People are going to wonder where all these new features are when they set up their new 16 or 16 Pro... I don't really think Apple should be advertising these features as they won't start to roll out until next month, and some of the Siri improvements wont be available until at some point in 2025!
Avid readers know these features are starting to roll out with 18.1 and then more later, but pushing pre-orders with "Hello Apple Intelligence" front center is a little misleading.

It almost needs a "*Coming soon in a future update" caption somewhere.

Is every Apple Intelligence function actually AI? Apple wants you to think so.
Actually no, it's the very opposite. Apple seems to be the only company that knows how to differentiate generative AI from Machine and Deep Learning, they even mentioned "machine learning" a few times during the keynote, Google, Samsung, Microsoft and others just say A.I., A.I., A.I.

Try to not mandate how *other people* choose to carry on with others.
Try not to mandate how other people choose to carry on with others, oh wait, you do recognise that shame plays an important role in protecting virtues, you just think that honesty and sincerity aren't virtues worth protecting over freedom. Yet freedom is not valuable by itself, freedom is a currency; freedom is only valuable by what it is sacrificed for and towards. How shallow and lonely your life will be.

I don't get it. Advertising a service that won't be available until 2025. Using an actor who has the personality of an obnoxious, pretentious, snobby doormat. (No offense to the multitude of regular doormats out there.) These are absolutely terrible and have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

That's great stuff.

I would like to see if they can ever convert my shorthand notes to long form.

Sometimes I forget what my shorthand notes even mean because I left them for a while. Imagine a tool that could analyse your notes, summarise them and make suggestions.

None of these spots promote relatable use cases, I guess unless you’re a teenager? It seems like parlor tricks. How about some productivity uses? Things to help with my day to day tasks? Not seeing it in these videos.

I thought last year's new iPhones were nice updates, especially the regular iPhone 15 which was a very solid upgrade over the iPhone 14. However, this year, they're both boring.

And imagine how boring it is for us Europeans, where Apple Inteligence, which was talked about for the largest part of the event, won't be available.

I've got an iPhone 15 Pro and was of course not expecting anything interesting, but the 16 Pro especially is disappointing. I'll be aiming for the twentieth of anniversary in 2027, I think the under display hidden Face ID will come in that model. I doubt they will remove the notch before then.
Same here. I usually upgrade each year and was quite pleased with last year’s upgrade from the 14 pro to the 15 pro max but this year there really isn’t a point in upgrading. The lack of Apple Intelligence in the EU really takes away all reason to ditch the 15 pro max.

I thought this years iPhone 16 was the biggest non pro update ever which is why they focused on it. The pro update is the weakest ever and I see no reason to upgrade from a 15 pro max but the regular 16 seems like a very solid phone

The 15 pro max has Apple intelligence anyways even if you did have access

Same, I’m keeping my 15 Pro Max, I watched the event and thought it was the weakest one so far.

Yep. I know. But what I actually wanted to say is that if you live in the EU zone the 16 pro really doesn’t have that much to offer compared to the 15 pro since the 16 its improvements is centered on the improvement of apple intelligence performance.

Yikes...The marketing speaks to what Apple thinks of their customer base.

The ad would have been slightly more impressing if it was possible with an Apple Watch but either way I would avoid anyone that couldn't socialize without asking AI what to do next.

Please, please let Siri with LLM magic be decent
It doesn’t have to have the intelligence of the average human or know me like the back of its non existent six-fingered hand just… let it understand basic context

Well know next spring sometime. Not anytime soon.
