They should have announced their $700 wheels in this event 🤣 🤣
Will it have laugh tracks? :p

it will have an "OOHHH" and "AAAHHH" and "clapping" tracks to mimic the isheep excitement.
I'd take bug fixes and performance improvements over new features any day.

Actually features are nice, real features like Spotlight, Bootcamp, and multiple desktops.
Features like dancing gecko emoji, snap your fingers to send a message, yeah...I will take bug fixes.

Here he is, the ceo of a hugely successful company, but he’s not good at big presentations. I think he is great when he’s talking to people about Apple in general terms, financials, environmental, social policies, but when it comes to products, it almost feels like he doesn’t understand the products enough to get people really fired up about them. I know everyone says he’s no Steve Jobs, which he isn’t and that’s a good thing.

Apple knows they can’t have the brand be represented by one person, the way that it used to be with Steve. But my opinion is they should be finding a different way to use Tim Cook at these events and instead have Craig and other team members trade top billing for the big announcements. Tim can be the glue binding everything together, but there needs to be more showmanship and excitement being conveyed on stage.

IMHO Tim should finally pursue the career he's always dreamt of in politics, talk shows and showbiz, and let some fresh minds with a strong product focus and innovative vision run Apple. He's turned the most iconic tech company into a Wall Street pandering dad joke. Successful beyond Steve's wildest dreams, sure, but dear god it's become so dull, self replicating and predictable. I'm surprised there's still an 'Apple cult' to even speak of when Tim has the charisma of a frayed lightning cable and tech acuity/ vision of a soccer mom.

I haven't heard. Can mere mortals see some of the WWDC content?
Yes. For example, you can see all of the WWDC content from last year now. This year’s content is USUALLY just for the folks in attendance until after the show. BUT, since there’s no “attendance” this year, I’m not sure if they’ll limit the streaming OR stream to anyone that wants to watch any session.

Either way, it’s a sure thing that AFTER the show, all of the sessions will be posted for consumption by whomever wants to watch.

I'm really loving how everyone can attend for free, but the question I really want to know is... will there still be a bash!!!!
Regardless, you can always install the latest 'bash' version with Brew. If you're really looking for a top-notch *nix environment on MacOS, try MultiPass from Ubuntu: It's a full Ubuntu virtual instance on your Mac desktop; you can do anything (almost) you can do on a standalone linux system. You can run multiple linux instances with different Ubuntu releases and/or specific kernel builds. And it runs pretty much at native speeds.

"Apple says that this year's event will be the "biggest WWDC to date," as all developers are able to attend for free."

lol.. \, and why wouldn't they?.. no one likes it better than a free event. "Biggest turnout yet."

It’s kind of funny that what I’m looking forward to the most from Apple’s next keynote is an update on AppleTV hardware. While WWDC may not seem like the right venue for this, tvOS seems poised for some major changes and announcing new hardware might be an inevitable part of making that announcement.

I skipped the AppleTV 4K because I had recently bought a fourth gen AppleTV and thought I’d just wait for what came next. But what came next hasn’t come yet, 3 years later. 😒

yea I too would like to see a stable watch iOS, but saying that. I wish Apple would let us FaceTime on our watch, that would be cool. Or even have our contact sounds come across the watch, rather then that annoying beep when a txt comes in.

Did I say I would like to see a stable iOS before feature on the watch ??

This year, session videos will be prerecorded and uploaded for anyone daily at 10 AM Pacific.

Wonder if there’s any chance of a real Mac Mini update with like 10th gen processors.

Where on earth is it?!
This Apple TV app is so NOT intuitive

go to Watch Now and scroll down a bit and with luck you will see it. there seems to be no organization logic to this app except that it puts the stuff they want you to pay for in the forefront.
