Can he extract a little more information from this crash report? RAM size is what bothers me the most!
Remember there's the current M1 chip and whatever the next generation is called. The M1 is quite suitable for lots of low-end iMacs, and I would expect that quite soon. There are plenty of people using quad core / 16 GB iMacs and for all of them M1 would be an upgrade.

I can't really see what else Apple would be talking about at WWDC than new ARM Macs?

But I definitely see them spacing out every single new ARM Mac to maximize hype. So whether we see an iMac, Mac Pro, or a new type of MacBook first, then it's going to be the only ARM mac out for a while.

I wonder though if there still are new Intel machines up the pipeline, or if Apple is just planning to keep the current Intel machines in the lineup until they're eventually phased out entirely.

Would be very odd if we see anymore new machines with intel chips. All the hype is for ARM now.

In other news....water is wet.
Actually, it's not.

Is water wet?

Liquid water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet.

Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid, so when we say that something is wet, we mean that the liquid is sticking to the surface of a material.

The device shown in Xcode's Organizer is NOT related to the crash log, but to the developer's device. I just opened the same crashlog on a MacBook Pro, and now I see 'MacBook Pro' as device.

I just checked all my crashlogs in Xcode, and they all show 'iMac' as device, when opened on an iMac. Looks like a bug or a 'privacy' feature. Some of them do also show 'ARM-64', but I think these devices are in reality one of the recent M1 Macs.

If this is real, would it imply that the event next week is not rolling out the iMac? Seems pretty late in the game for this testing (assuming this is the first of the testing) for a product about to go live.

i am throwing my money at the screen give me a fricking ARM iMac so that my macOS transformation is complete across all platforms!!!

I really want a new MBP - I have a feeling they will drag those out until fall if they are going to do the back to school promos etc. Hoping you're right and WWDC we see 16inchers

I want it to show Apple IIe 2021 edition.
One thing I've always pondered is what Apple's computers would have looked like if they had just continued with the Apple II line because the Mac never came along to derail it.

The GUI in GS/OS was inspired by the Mac, so that likely never would have appeared in this alternate universe. I'm sure there would have been GUI eventually, but it might have looked far different.

The model names probably would have gotten wild. Apple II NG3000! Or maybe they would have gone to Apple IV for a "next generation" system. Who knows; it's fun to think about.

Or scary to think about. I can never wrap my head around the complicated codenames a lot of computer products get. Makes me appreciate how simple the Mac name lineup tends to be.

NERD!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Somehow, I knew this would happen... ;)

I checked mine too. They do not show iMac as the device when opened in an iMac, they show the device the app crashed on.
