I know it says "SPECIAL HANDLING SECTION: Deliver Weekday", but it's super close! I've had FedEx packages delivered the same day as being listed at the Chicago Destination Sort Facility before. I'm not holding my breath, but maybe I'll be updating this post later on my new Laptop...
Sooooooooo cloooooooosssee... lol

Can you share what your tracking looked like from China to Memphis from the beginning?

Trust me, I am pissed off. It's so unlucky - the batch before ours made it out, the batch after ours was either shipped through FedEx or routed through SZX. And yeah, it was unfortunate event, the COVID breakout. That was not under UPS's control. I understand the airport needed to be locked down and everyone needed to be tested. But the response IS under UPS's control, as we have learned. You can either get your sh*t together, solve the problem, send people home to isolate, sanitize the facility, whatever and get flights scheduled and flying on time again, like FedEx, or you can have a failed response and basically have a frozen operation with no timeline for reopening like UPS. No alternative plan for the packages you currently have either - no chartering on another airline, no forwarding to Shenzhen, hell, I don't care forward them through FedEx if you need to. I would at least file a claim against UPS's delivery guarantee, which is available if it's been 24 hours since the scheduled delivery date, but UPS never gave us a scheduled delivery date.

The package can't be overdue if there's no due date.

I don't know how my patience is holding up, but I somehow am. I've been obsessed with this order ever since I placed it and the status of the order always has a presence in my head, which probably has a negative effect on my productivity. I seem to refresh and check it throughout the day impulsively.

I am so upset!! 🤬 I don’t understand how fedex is able to get moving but no word or any movement from UPS. Their site warning stated a 3-day delay (which I understand), but yet it’s been more than 3 days, and we still don’t have any response or updates. Why haven’t they addressed anything? Why isn’t UPS at least trying to find a way to re-route or do anything? What is going on? Why is it so silent on UPS end? Why?!?! I’m so close to cancelling completely and ordering a new one. It will probably come sooner than my current one.

Congrats! When you first boot it up, can you log back in and reply here with where and when you saw it :)? I've been putting that exact configuration in for the past week every few hours and have only seen 1 in stock at an Apple store over 100 miles away.
I've had the same routine daily for maybe the past week when I did not see any movement with my original order. I'd see the timeframe for shipping and always that my local Apple Store (Freehold, NJ) did not have it available for pickup. This morning around 7:30 I tried again and luckily this time it was available for immediate pickup. I quickly completed the order and cancelled the Nov. 10th order. After picking the MBP up I went back into the Apple Store app and noticed that my configuration was now unavailable. Just hit the lottery and lucked out this morning. Anxiety lifted!

I'm glad I'm not the only one going crazy about order statuses. I've been in a very questionable relationship with the DHL Express dashboard since Monday. I ordered a (silver) MacBook Air, 16GB RAM/512GB SSD/8 core GPU on November 13th. According to Apple it's due to arrive on Monday (30th). It's coming via DHL, and the status has been „Shipment information received in EINDHOVEN - NETHERLANDS, THE“ since Monday (23rd). Ah, and: delivery to Germany.

How long did it take from "Versand wird vorbereitet" to current status? Since this morning my MBP order shows this status.

Got an update on mine: ordered a Macbook Pro 16/256 on the 14th November, card was charged on the 25th and today the status was changed to Preparing Shipment. Destination is Germany. Anyone know how long it typically takes for the status to change to Shipping after it becomes Preparing Shipment?

Just posting this for others. My order on the 13th finally shipped. They were MBA 16gb ram, 256gb hdd configurations. The gold one showed preparing to ship last night at 9pm EST and the silver one is now showing preparing to ship today.

Ordered my Air on the 20th with the same 8-15th window so hoping my schedule is a few days behind yours based on your order date with the same window!

I'm very curious if I'm the only person left who ordered on launch day (Nov.10--1 hour after the Apple Store came back online). MBP 16GB/1TB Space Grey Absolutely no movement for the past 2 1/2 weeks. So damn frustrating. 😤

Your order was the same as mine. I reordered, for in store pickup, when I saw the local Apple Store had it in stock and cancelled my online order.

Exact situation occurred this morning for me. Found my config locally, cancelled my online order, and picked up my machine at the Apple store at 9:15. 👍

So, turns out posting here seems to have a magic effect – mine’s just been changed to Processed in Amsterdam. DHL now also estimates the delivery to be Monday.

Shanghai Gang: I spoke to Apple Support about my order. They're saying that the "In Transit" status means it has left Shanghai and is on a boat and hasn't made landfall yet in the US. They're saying the order can't be air shipped because of the battery type, and that I should still receive it by Dec 1. I don't believe that at all, because everyone else is getting their orders air shipped and it would take much longer if it was coming from China on a cargo ship - weeks.

YAY!

They will probably attempt to deliver today, but because of that this is the first time in 2 weeks I'll not be at home working the entire day. It would kill me if they try to deliver when I'm out :p

Looking at those time stamps (from the attachment), I’m now wondering if maybe – just maybe – DHL will deliver it tomorrow instead of Monday. Man, that’d be awesome.

My MBP 16/1TB ordered Nov 11 is still processing with a delivery date of Nov 27 - Dec 4.

Meanwhile 4 of the local Apple stores have them in stock for pick up... 🤷🏻‍♂️
