Ugh.. Now it's showing "Package not due for delivery"... BOOOOO

What does Apple say? I think our computers were on the same flights except that I’m in Raleigh. My computer is currently at my local FedEx facility but the message I got this morning was “delivery exception - business closed, no delivery attempt” and now FedEx doesn’t even display a delivery date.

Apple says I'll get it Monday, FedEx says Tuesday by Noon although it's at the sort location that usually distributes out to my location. And again, many many times other items from various other online stores get sent to the same sort facility and around the same time, and then still get delivered that same day- albeit later on or in the evening.

Shanghai Gang: I spoke to Apple Support about my order. They're saying that the "In Transit" status means it has left Shanghai and is on a boat and hasn't made landfall yet in the US. They're saying the order can't be air shipped because of the battery type, and that I should still receive it by Dec 1. I don't believe that at all, because everyone else is getting their orders air shipped and it would take much longer if it was coming from China on a cargo ship - weeks.
As much as I doubt it and don’t believe it either, at this point I’m praying that’s the situation. Apple says it’ll be delivered on the 2nd for me

Ordered my MBA 16/1T on Nov 12th for Nov30-Dec7 delivery.
Still in processing, showing same delivery window. Card not charged.

Saw a MBP 16/1T available for in-store pickup today - so I bought it. Pickup experience was super easy. Particularly since today's Black Friday. Forehead temperature checked as I got in queue. Immediately saw an associate who scanned my pickup email code, then someone else came out with my MBP in about five minutes. Never needed to go inside the store.

So - my suggestion is keep checking stock at local stores - it changes day to day and even during the day. The 16/1T config also seems to get stocked to some extent.

Are they messing with us? I keep checking my UPS tracking and just hoping for any type of update.

I honestly don’t believe it. This is so disappointing. Apple claims that mine is suppose to be here today 😒🤬

I made it out of Shanghai and got to Japan (FedEx)!!! It says my Delivery date is 12/3 even though Apple says 12/8. I feel like it might come sooner than 12/3 but Thursday is still fine by me!

I was looking on Twitter, and someone indicated that he called UPS about his order. UPS told him that his package is STILL stuck in a warehouse in Shanghai and UPS has NO IDEA when it will be scheduled to be delivered.

There are other similar tweets of ppl waiting for their package in Shanghai, but no one (UPS & Apple) is addressing this matter.

Totally agree - this is Kafkaesque. Anyone on here have any connections with the press or Macrumors to get some attention to this? We all got charged but no clear plan to get us the machines, and no communication at all?

That sounds like a total load of crap.
It delivered at 10:43 today. 3 days ahead of schedule transferring files from backup now. Good luck to you all :)
wow! did yours have the special weekday delivery handling on it?

would you mind sharing your tracking history so far? I shipped on the 26th also, but still in shanghai, no scheduled delivery with fedex yet. "pending" though they are scanning it at least. The most recent one was 30 minutes ago.

UK here.
Ordered on the 13th Nov.
Apple emailed me saying it shipped on 23rd Nov. The email they sent said it delivers on Dec 1 but the iOS app says it delivers Dec 11.
My card was charged on 24th Nov.
The DHL tracking number has said "Shipment information received" in Eindhoven since Nov 23rd.
Exact Same issue for me. I have been waiting for an update since the 23rd. DHL has confirmed that they have not received the Parcel.

Since your due date has officially passed, you can call Apple today or tomorrow and officially claim your package as late and try to get some form of compensation for it. Since my due date is still upcoming, they just told me to sit tight and claimed that it would still come on Dec 1. Apple had no information that I didn't already and were basically looking at the UPS website, which doesn't have the description saying "your package is delayed" like the app. The website says "In Transit, [date], Shanghai, China" so the rep assumed that it was the departure scan. I really wish the UPS tracking was more detailed as well

Can we please get Macrumors to write an article about this? We were already charged, all paying at least $1200+, yet we have no expected date that we'll get our products delivered? I would be fine if they said that the shipping would be delayed and it would come on December 22nd or whatever instead. Without a scheduled delivery date, we can't even claim our packages as missing or late when it doesn't arrive. "Guaranteed Delivery" means nothing without it.
