Apple Silicone Case

I still feel like the Apple leather case is certainly a nice, high quality case…but that silicone feels so nice.

The leather one smells like a can of freshly opened tennis balls IMO.

I love it. It's probably the best feeling case I've ever used for any of my iPhones.

That looks great. I'm hoping to pick ont up next Friday when I head up to Chicago. I checked all over town yesterday and zero att Verizon or best buy stores had any of these.

How thick is the back relative to the camera lense? Is it flush with the back or is the case thicker than the lens sticking out?

The back is about 1mm thicker than the camera lense. The lens will never touch a surface when the phone placed on its back.

Thicker than lens by little bit, just by eye maybe 1-2 mm
Lens won't touch table if you put it back down.
Same with front.
 
Purchased both the leather and the silicone for my plus. I'm returning the leather one. They both look similar from a distance but the leather is more slippery. The black silicone case feels nice and, so far, hasn't picked up any lint.
 
Decided I think I'm going to pick up a silicone one, but also keep the black leather one - too hard to decide which I like better.

The real question though for the silicone - red or blue on a space gray phone? Wife has red which is really nice, but haven't seen blue in person. If it's more of a neon/electric blue, great, but if it's got hints of pastel/sky blue, not so interested.
 
Wow. That looks great. but it isn't black, it's grey. If they had made it black, I would be all over that!
 
Has anyone got the white one? Looks flashy with the spacegray iPhones, but I'm not sure it will stay clean more than a few minutes.
 
I wish you could switch the color of the phone in the case on the Apple site like you could last year.
 
I don't suppose anyone has pictures of cases on a space gray phone. Other than the black pix above that look great. I like a splash of color on my phones, especially when I'm hunting around for it without my glasses! Old eyes + dim light + cluttered nightstand require something other than black on gray!

For the most part, yes. However, since the bottom is exposed, a drop could scratch/dent if the phone happens to land on that exact spot. Unlikely, but it could happen.

I agree. I really want the white silicone for my silver 6. Unfortunately they are all sold out at the three Apple stores near me and back ordered online. I am making do with my Spigen Thin Fit case until I can get the white silicone.
 
Thanks for the info. I like the open bottom. Need to be able to use the Lightning -> 30pin dongle for my alarm clock dock and a few other old accessories.
 
I have the Blue leather case for my Plus although I'm wafting with switching to the Red silicone. My daughter has the silicone and it definitely isn't a dust or dirt magnet so far. Has enough roughness to make it useable.
 
Here's my wife's red silicone on her silver phone (it is actually bright red in person, not pinkish/salmon…guess we have another year of low quality iPhone cameras:rolleyes: ). Excuse the junk temporary screen protectors, will get PowerSupport crystal ones when available:

And I just ran out and grabbed a blue one for my space gray phone, more interesting to look at than my black leather, but REALLY looks like an iPhone 5C. I still think I like it better than my leather one, but will probably keep both. I do like that the silicone one has microfiber all the way up the sides, unlike the leather one (no idea why the leather one doesn't):

Curious how the white wud wear tho, pics anyone? Btw the white case wud look pretty badass on the space gray version
 
Apple Silicone Case (White)

Does anyone have an Apple silicone (white) case on a Gold iPhone 6 or 6 plus? I would LOVE to see it.
I'm really interested in getting this case with my gold iPhone 6 Plus. I also want to know if this case will get dirty or loose its color over time.
 
Thanks for the photos, I bought the Red silicone from Applestore for my SpaceGrey now afterlooking at your blue...hmmm might change it for the blue...it is so true that the feeling is excellent on the hand. You like the blue alot?

Originally bought it to use until my UltraHybid gets here but I most likely will keep it because of the quality..not sure about the durability though.
