Apple Silicone Case

Did you get a replacement silicone case? Is your new case any better?

Reason I ask: I just replaced my slippery leather case (with perfectly placed camera cutout) with the silicone case which has a camera cutout positioned much like the one in your pic. Just wondering if it's worth exchanging for another silicone case (I prefer the feel and grip of the silicone case), or whether they might all be like that.

The new one I got was off center as well but in a different spot. So who knows what to expect.

Do these respond well to being taken on and off constantly? I would prefer to use my 6s case-less when I can. I did pick up a Stone case on a whim and it was definitely superior to the leather cases they had available to try. Those feel seriously cheap, even if it's premium leather.

BTW - the Watch Sport band material is better than this, was expecting it to be closer to that.

Anyone else find the silicone case as slippy as the actual naked iPhone? I have a leather case and wanted a different colour, I cheaped out and went for a white silicone case. It so slippy compared to the leather, it regularly falls out of the holder in my car and if place on a surface which has a slight slope it will slowly slip its way to the bottom!

I just got one for the 6s+ today. I liked the leather case I had for the 6 last year but I got annoyed having to take it off when I run so it wouldn't get wet.

I actually was about to post about how the grippiness of the silicone case makes one-handed use of the Plus model more enjoyable. Hell, I was even able to hold the phone up with one finger easily with the case on.

First impressions were the case only seemed moderately better than the higher-quality cheaper Chinese TPU cases I've seen, but there are some nice touches and overall usage is quite pleasant.

I had a peeling issue with last years case. The Apple Store switched it out and I never had problems since. So far this years case is holding up perfectly and I take them on and off to switch cases frequently.

Well, I bought a no-name silicone case on eBay, for $2.50 and free shipping, and the camera cutout, as well as all other cutouts, are perfectly centered. So I don't think it's too much to expect the same from a much more expensive case from Apple.

I find the 2015 leather and silicone cases more slippery than the iPhone itself. Last year's silicone cases were nice and grippy, this year's cases are both more slippery and more fragile. A giant step backwards, IMO.

Where I can find a silicone case of last year?
{in the stores at my city they have only the 6s silicone.}

someone have a link from Ebay?

I've found a lot of the eBay sellers to be selling knockoffs despite what they say. Be very cautious.

My silicone case recently developed some indents by the silent switch cut-out. Would this be within Apple's policy for replacing it?

I notice since I used Apple silicone case my phone feels warm? strange? someone also have that feeling?
[I didn't have this issue before. I used a leather and Tpu case]
is it just me or the silicone become little slippery after a use of couple weeks ?

If you're in the US, Best Buy still carries them online and have them marked as clearance - they're running a promotion right now where if you get two clearance phone accessories, they're both half price...

I also notice my phone is bit heating while is in a silicone case. (in TPU/hard cases nope)
:(

I just got the turquoise silicone case with my rose gold 6S. Wasn't sure of the color combo before but now I'm really loving it.

Eh, too late now but it hasn't really bothered me.

I feel confident in this silicone case's protection vs others. I had my iPhone on the sheets of my bed then got up which subsequently launched my iPhone a few feet across the floor with no damage to the iPhone or the case.

Although the case falling two feet max out of my pocket onto a rubber floor put a chip on the bottom of the case, while my iPhone is 100% fine.

personally, I like a "used" case much more than a fresh, new one. It's much more personal. Btw, I got the black silicone and the black leather case - both are great - can't just have just one, they're different, but both are very nice to have!

apple silicone case is bad IMHO
i bought the black or dark grey colour for my 6s plus on january,
and i use it sparingly with my other cases such as the saddle brown apple leather.
the fit on silicone is actually better than the leather case
and the lips on the silicone is higher so i can put my phone face down on the table, even after applying a full coverage iMos screen protector, that's something that i can't do with the apple leather case.
but after only using the silicone 3 or 4 times, the edges cracked!
somewhere near the lower part.
totally waste of money for me, the phone is never even dropped, and i pampered my phone very much.
i would not reccomend this apple silicone case .
and one more thing while it's provide the needed "grip" for the big iphone 6s plus, but somehow i coulndt get used to the feeling that the silicone material gives me, it's like so tacky, and making it feel like dirty or something.

Just keep in mind in every drop test I've seen the silicone has much better drop protection.

Just got the red one and it looks sick on black iPhone.
Also, I have noticed that this year's silicone cases are really grippy it's kinda hard to put the into pockets. If you prefer less grip, get last year's case, it feels more like leather case. Oh and if you're on 6S, 2015 case has lower lip which is great when you're using swipe gestures.

EDIT: Lint doesn't stick to the case as bad as to the new case.
