Lemme tell ya as an ex Android fan boy who spent an extensive 8 months on XDA, you CANNOT take anything from Android fan boys srsly. Remember the "lag free" "innovative" Galaxy Nexus and ICS?
So...what are you saying? Some guy who's used Macs since the 80's buys an Android phone and suddenly becomes an idiot? Like no one can appreciate it for it's own merits or be objective about it?

Apple's best selling quarter was after the release of the 4S.
Could they have sold more if it had LTE? Sure.
But they still sold a hell of a lot of iPhone 4S.
Stop chastising me I've been regretting it ever since I got it.
Reading stuff like this makes me glad I got my Mom an iPad mini for Christmas and not a Nexus

People believe what they want to. And Yes sure there will be some geeks who claim Android phones are better than iPhone, but that's not before they have rooted/ modded their phones extensively and then compare their heavily modified phones with a STOCK iphone.

This worries me a lot. On the other hand, I'm no psychic and will need to stew on it and wait for the quarterly conference. I can't sell before everyone else does tomorrow so I'll have to take the big lumps... again.

well if you bought it for your mom you could have bought the Nexus 7 instead. Im not saying it's totally unusable like other Android tablets. For the money it's decent I guess but for me who's already used to the minimal lag experience and great quality apps on my iphone I hate it !

And yet the 4S propelled Apple to the highest-selling iPhone quarter ever... 37 million. (with an estimated 89% of new iPhone sales being the then-new 4S)
And 35 million the next quarter.
People might have complained that the 4S looked exactly like the 4... but Apple still sold a ton of them.
So what's going to be different about the display on the next new iPhone that they can't use the current iPhone 5 display panels?

Well that's one of the biggest reasons why those fandroids buy a copycat OS.
They don't want to be 'tied' to a iTunes. they want freedom....
This propaganda worked.. turning lots of people away from iOS.
I think it's good. hopefully this will force Apple to refocus back into their products, software. Not to reinvent the wheel on something and let someone else overtake it.

ANd PS your comment ignores the fact that people dont post on positive threads about Apple, like how the ipad dominated web traffic of tablets etc. But they pour into EVERY negative threads about Apple to "express their honest opinions".
Well I suppose I could have gotten it for her, but she already had an iPhone and the price was kinda the only thing that got me thinking about buying a nexus instead.. Glad I jumped for the mini, she can't put it down. All her apps she had on her phone are on her iPad. Maybe a Nexus 7 would have been good enough but honestly my preference will always be IOS. I am one of those people who feel that the attention should not be on the OS but performing the task you want done very well without any hangs or freezing or interruption. And using my friends android phones and tablets I just can't say that is the experience I get from it. Overall I want things to just work, despite being pretty nerdy in my own right
It was a boring phone ... like the sixth iteration of the same thing.
Apple needs to revamp iOS and add in the missing features like NFC and possibly even a MicroSD card slot (good luck).
As an anecdotal note, almost everyone I know is jumping ship to Android. It's actually starting to get rare to see an iPhone...
Says a lot about these people doesn't it. With this story, looks like these people are starting to get a clue.
