Well I really now think most Mac users are expecting this thing to be the greatest tablet that can anything. Even if apple releases a tablet you can expect many users here to jump all over them and then be closely followed be the tech blogging & journalists on how this will be a failure.

The expectations are just way to high now, so the stock will take a fall for a little while.

Actually, expectations seem to be significantly lower for the tablet than they were for the phone - no one really seems to have any idea what Apple has in mind for the tablet. If it even exists at all. There were plenty of expectations for the iPhone, not the least of which was significant competition (Nokia, BlackBerry, Palm, WinMo) that already had serious footholds in the market.

Since this has been anticipated since BEFORE the iPhone release, and since the iPhone defined the basic parameters, I think most users are simply looking for an iPhone with a bigger window. Some users using some applications do a lot of scrolling and pinching.

There is a whole school of users looking for a bigger video game, or bigger TV screen, or bigger picture display.

Who is going to deal with the James Bond customer base?
