I stand corrected. I thought that the intro date was off a bit in my remembrance. It wasn't available for pre-order until the 15th. I asked my son if I was able to pre-order it and he confirmed I was. I asked him the date and we looked at wikipedia. The problem is, I didn't looked down the page, far enough. You are absolutely correct. My facts were only half checked. I'm man enough to admit that, and I apologize. Thank you for the actual fact check.:D

No worries - wasn't trying to bash you. It was more of a "hmm, I don't remember pre-ordering on the announcement date." I happened to be visiting family in another state on the date of the announcement, and I was pretty sure I pre-ordered it after I got back home about a week later.

I don't care when the pre-order for the new one starts, I just can't wait to get the new one (hopefully next week)...:D

So no word on time of day yet eh? Are we assuming 12:01 am Pacific? That would suck for people on the East Coast. If I want to be "first in line" I'll have to get up at 4 am. I'd probably still be okay to order at 6 or 7 though. Usually takes a few hours for them to sell out. Either way it beats waiting in the Apple Store lineup on the 21st.

I should clarify. I was not calling anyone on TWiT a puppet. Sarah and Andy are great contributors.

For the last two TWiT shows, Leo has mentioned that he is going to use "hand puppets" during the commentary. He said that he has hired a puppeteer to help out.

I know you are a TWiT fan as I am. :) The puppeteer was a little goofy though.

I was waiting for Tim Cook to say, "There's one more thing..."
