"ultra-flat, moderately sized, and affordably priced"
affordably priced and apple are two words/phrases that don't belong in the same sentence.

The amount of time and energy this company wastes on ridiculous and unnecessary garbage is astounding.
Who gives a flying F if there is a small black area at the top of the phone... or in the corner of the phone... or in the metal housing... it matters ZERO in our day to day lives.

They’ll just release two devices in a row. When the X came out in December 2017 we could also get the iPhone 8 Plus from September to December as the X wasn’t ready.
Apple turned the development delay into a revenue opportunity, and they could do the same here. ”Here is the 19 Pro Ma…One more thing…blah blah blah iPhone XX”. 10 years ago many people bought the 8 Plus and then the X. I don’t expect everyone to do it again in the current economy but if enough people do, that’s just a double whammy for Apple’s finances.

Maybe any change to the cut out or FaceID will happen only with the 20th anniversary iPhone. As for the foldable, don't think it can be called 'affordable'. Think at the very minimum, the starting price will be $1999.

Are you kidding me.. argh! All these delays! I hate not having all my notification icons up the top of my screen like I had on a Samsung.

Especially instantly seeing if VPN is connected or if I have a missed call or sms as a reminder to reply while using another app. I miss the little things…

Why can’t we have a tiny punch hole that expands when in use? If Samsung and other brands have had it for years, why can’t Apple?

Apple's progress toward under-display Face ID and a fully uninterrupted iPhone display is encountering ongoing challenges, with a new report indicating that the company is likely to focus on incremental reductions to the Dynamic Island rather than major front-facing design changes in the near term.

A new post from Weibo user "Fixed Focus Digital" suggests that Apple's development of under-display technologies is not advancing as smoothly as previously anticipated, casting doubt on expectations for significant front-facing design changes in upcoming iPhone models. According to the leaker, Apple's near-term approach is expected to prioritize refining existing solutions rather than introducing a fully hidden front camera and Face ID system.

The latest information aligns with a growing body of mixed reports surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro models. Earlier claims from multiple sources, including Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and display industry analyst Ross Young, indicated that Apple would reduce the size of the Dynamic Island, likely by relocating some Face ID components beneath the display.

Other sources have cast doubt on the extent of these changes. Weibo leaker "Digital Chat Station" recently claimed that the iPhone 18 Pro models may reuse much of their existing front-facing design, with Face ID and the Dynamic Island remaining "largely unchanged" and more ambitious under-display implementations pushed to a later generation.

In the same series of posts, Fixed Focus Digital also commented on Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone, describing the device as "ultra-flat, moderately sized, and affordably priced," and claimed that supply chain expectations for production volumes are relatively high.

The iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and Apple's first foldable iPhone are expected to be announced in the fall.

Not having full screen is not a big deal. No need to rush it. Better later than sorry. Having a great quality product is the priority.

So what Will be New in 18 Pro?

A few new chips and a variable aperture main camera?
And silently fix the ridiculously easy to scratch and discolour coatings.
.2mm thicker for 100-200mah, non Sc battery

They will try to play up AI Siri as a new feature (for the second time, two? years later)

Will the Fold have the same Pro level cameras or nerfed like Samsung?
First I've heard reasonably priced. May actually be more interested in that. (But you know the first 2-3 versions will have issues.)

It’s always amusing to see how upset people get with Apple, especially with Tim Cook, when “leakers,” & those supposedly “in the know” put out fanciful guesses for the next devices, then shoot down their previous guesses in a follow-up post. Yeah, Apple shot themselves in the foot with the AI debacle, but most of the prognostications you read have never been promised by Apple. I mean, is anyone really harmed if any of these incremental improvements don’t happen? People have lost sight that they have an amazingly reliable computing & communication device in the palm of their hand. If you keep expecting these companies to reinvent the wheel with each subsequent offering, you will continually be disappointed. Stop blindly believing everything you read from people outside Apple walls.

Rumours say same camera system on fold apart from no telephoto

Fold may have variable aperture too same as pros

100% this. Majority of this board is not who Apple is targeting with their products. The target the masses that want a reliable, easy to use device and not the crazy fringe.

Thanks, missed that.
So no buy for me then regardless of price or anything else as I shoot with tele like 90% of the time..

Folds and thin phones with high prices and big compromises.. Maybe in another ten years the compromises are less.
