Apple Still Planning 'Glass-Centric' iPhone Redesign for 2027

Expecting something special for the 20th anniversary. Hope it will have some nice fun colors like the Orange 17 Pro/Pro Max. Excited to hear all the rumors.

One things for sure - with today’s RAM SSD and processor prices, this thing is going to be expensive.

The 2017 - gasp! - $999 sticker price for the iPhone X is going to look like a bargain by comparison.

The way people and media have gone on, they honestly thought we'd get some all glass phone from the future.

It was always going to be a modernised iPhone X and the current 17 pro/18 Pro were always just a cheap stop gap after falling sales of the 15/16 Pro using the same design for 6 years.

They're nuts. It looks like my old iPhone XS. The only phone where I managed to break the glass by dropping it. All my other phones were dropped with the same frequency but the ugly non rounded metal edge protected the glass.

So you people whined about the Liquid Glass concept for 2 years?

Fine, we will make the next iPhone with MOAR GLAS! Take that.
 
How about a plastic backed iPhone like the 3GS. Man I'd be first in line if I could get a larger 3GS that ran a modern version of IOS 6.1.6.

You can design the phone how ever you want to design it. As long as it doesnt bend easly, or is so delicate that normal every day use is going to damage it, i just dont care. It has to feel comfortable to use in the hand, fast, and reliable.

Im even holding out on buying the fold until i know if it can survive a day at the beach. The Samsung phones cant. they got lousy dust and water resistant raitings.

I dont get this form over function mentality where if the phone cant survive the real world, then whats the use of it?

Isn't it funny how you demand an unbreakable design, but then immediately put your phones into protective coverings anyway? 😃

I haven't used a screen protector in 15 years. Never a blemish on my phone screens.

Or Apple could go the other way. It is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first ever iPhone after all so maybe for a bit of nostalgia it could go back to that original memory configuration - 128MB or RAM and either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB of flash storage.

Not a serious suggestion obviously but sometimes it's all too easy to forget - at least for me - just how dramatic the increases in RAM and flash storage capacities have been over the last 20 years.

Which person making stuff up do you believe... I'd rather believe the man who said it's been cancelled. Well actually I doubt it even exists at all and never has haha. NO evidence what so ever, literally only the words of analysts are what exist of this 'product'..

Gurman is trying hard to defend his gaslighting!
