Just so happy to see Apple finally offering this product its been such a long wait.

I know many would have preferred the M3 chip in it. But the M2 is still a reasonable processor.

In time, I'm sure Apple will be wondering why didn't we release this product 12 months ago for the Macbook Air redesign.

I forget want my 2015? MBP cost. But sure it was more than this. Still works great so, until then I’ll pass. And still got a more recent Air (top specs), so again may we next time.
I get the Intel references were aimed at the likes of me but still passing.
Glad to see spell check is getting an upgrade: rubbish on this iOS.

I was just about to check out with the new 15" Macbook Air, and then I noticed the tech specs says it only supports WiFi 6? WTF, Apple! All your other newly introduced devices have supported 6E since last Fall? This is so disappointing.

It has 6E. I’m certain I remember that being on the slide.

My bigger issue is that it’s a 60Hz display. They could have at least made it 90 and called it PlebMotion or something clever.

Outside of a bigger screen, there is hardly any noticeable upgrade from the M2 MBA.

Tim Cook has made it abundantly clear, what he hears customers wanting is bigger screens without “Pro” features.

I don’t like it either but at least they’re consistent.

It made my decision very easy. I will gladly hang onto my fully specced M2 MBA. If the new MBA offered a better screen and some other semi-fancy option, I would have strongly considered.

A slightly bigger display with slightly higher resolution and a "Six-speaker sound system with force-cancelling woofers" on 15" MBA vs "Four-speaker sound system" on 13" MBA

Well worth the extra $100 when comparing a spec-for-spec 13" MBA to a 15" MBA

I still don't see it as a big selling point. If the sound aspect was pertaining to HomePod, that would be different for me. On a laptop, no.

The real shock for me is that the new Studio is actually cheaper than the equivalent MacMini!

If you spec both with a 12 core M2, 10Gb Ethernet and identical RAM/SSD option the Studio is £100 cheaper, even though it has the Max CPU with more GPU cores and it has more ports.

It’s amazing how little I care anymore about anything Apple does these days.
I think Tim Cook’s operation has single-handedly cured my GAS when it comes to computers and I don’t really see anyone at Apple reigniting the spark.

Well, you already have a M2 MBA. If someone buying a new MBA was deciding between the two, I think it's definitely worth the extra $100 to get the 15" over the 13"

Pulled the trigger and ordered the 15 inch MBA 16/256 to supplement my desktop Mac. I was considering the 13 inch but I think I’ll really appreciate the larger screen, the 10 core GPU, and the 6 speaker set-up. I had to keep it around $1500 and that’s why I went with the base storage. I’ll primarily keep data in iCloud or on an external drive so it should be fine for me.

Did I hear in the keynote that the 13” was reduced by $100?
No one on Macrumors ever seems to acknowledge or remember when Apple reduces prices. Tomorrow I will forget too.

It’s probably because the prices for Apple gear these days never feel reduced. The base price for 8GB 256 GB is still laughably inflated and it gets worse when you configure your machine to actually last you a bit

I believe you, I’m just pretty sure that’s a mistake. If it’s not then I agree, not sure how that happened since everything else M2 has it.
I sincerely hope you're right! But I'm holding off on my purchase until I see confirmation one way or another.

I think, they need a selling point. Many peoples will get it... Below 16 gigs it actually makes no sense - i know. But it is still a very good product @ a "regular" price.
