Apple Store Down - 26th Feb - New Macbooks/pros??

I've found that not getting my hopes up about killer releases from Apple usually results in significantly less heartbreak and outrage.

I've been waiting for a revised MacBook Pro since...ummmm....November when my trusty Powerbook died.

So lately, even getting my hopes up about MBP speed bumps has resulted in heartbreak and outrage for me.

Not before you see it in the Mac Pro.

(and it's looking like it will be Blu-ray, which seems a good time for apple to start using it)

Well i do think its unlikely that they will intriduce HD but I would be there on a BTO for BR, it would be great - i have been thinking about this and I think its really an option

It would be a good marketing campaign and also if you look at the halo effect of a windows person owning an iphone then it would make sense to make one of the most attractive features of it available across the lappy range

Thanks I need the support...this constant trickle of adrenaline as I refresh the store page means I am pretty wired now..

MUST HAVE MBP (with multi-touch, 160gb HD standard and BR bto)

Honestly though, as a looooong time reader here and new poster its really relaxing and much more fun to be posting AND waiting, you feel like less of a loser when ppl at work have no idea what you're talking about and when you try and explain the go "oh the new really thin one??" No.
 
entry model of MBP should be more than 160GB, and it better be something worth the money this time!
 
id rather listen to you guys go mad then constantly refresh the page myself, this is far mroe entertaining

im very interested in seeing what apple has to offer, but i only need it for when i go to uni - in september.
 
Can anyone confirm if this is one of the longest downtimes for the store?

I think it is for a while but if memory serves me right the ibook-macbook switch was equally as long??

My work today is suffering...I have dual screens today one is MR and apple store and the other is a spreadsheet I haven't touched in about 2 hours!!

its only 8:30 the store dosent usually come back until 10
