Couldn't Contain Myself......

I really thought I was going to sit this update out, would be the first time I didn't update my iPad or iPhone. I have been doing this every year since the first iPhone & first iPad.:D:apple::apple::apple:

I haven't been using my iPad Air that much since I got my iPhone 6 Plus.

With no intention of buying the Air 2 this morning, I went to the Apple Store App on my iPhone, to see delivery times, check things out, couldn't contain myself and had to do it, ordered Space Gray 64GB iPad Air 2.:D:cool::apple:

I'll give my daughter my iPad Air and sell her iPad 4 Gen.:apple::apple:

Thanks for the laugh. At least you made the wait entertaining.

When I see those messages "apple store down" I think, what a bunch of amateurs. It seems like Apple still in 90's when it comes to this process - unbelievable.

Ermmmm...
It not 1977 anymore !! Updateing the whole shop with new contents would take only a few milliseconds.

If Apple doesn't either have the capability or the knowledge to do it then they really, really need some better staff.

The quote immediately above might be my favorite. I'll go far out on a limb here and say Apple probably has one or to people a little more gifted than you. After those two people, however, the rest of their engineers are way beneath you.

I spent 25+ years developing software. ...
Of course you don't roll it out without testing. ... But I doubt it's testing.

You doubt it's testing? Your awesome 25 years of dev should tell you today is deployment, test and acceptance was completed before this morning. Sheesh.

What does this even mean? How do you abuse a specification?

By claiming that your Android device is many times faster, more powerful, goes to 11: "just look at the spec". This has been going on since the days of Android 2.x when Android was so laggy that an iPhone 1 ran rings around any Android device on the market in terms of UI responsiveness or pretty much any real world measure that a normal user might care about.

There will always be an Android device whose specs sound more impressive on paper. OTOH, there isn't a single ARM based Android device that can outperform an iPad Air 2.

Abuse doesn't mean what you think it does. Does Android have it's spec champions? Yup. Can that be connoted as abuse? Certainly not.

Bolded: Not any more. Apple doesn't seem to think more RAM equates to less battery life. You know what does contribute to less battery life? A smaller battery. WTH?!?
