Went back into the store after verifying my orders and poked around a bit:

All 4 colors of the 256GB are still available for pickup in Colorado or delivery 22 September.
Natural Titanium in 128GB has slid to 4-9 October, but the rest are still 22 September, for now.

The other colors in 128GB are starting to disappear from specific stores for pickup, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB still available in all colors.
 
After alot of crashing and apple store saying “getting there” on website and in app - finally orders went through. The saved pre-orders were total nonsense and never loaded. Ordering from scratch again eventually worked. Apple stock should go up after this lol
 
Initially got a session expired error when I placed the order and was sent back to pre order screen. Different errors than success. Got confirmation email. Took 20 min. Pro Max 512 black. Fri. Sept 22 delivery

ordered 2 iphone 15 pro max. 1 available to pickup on spet 22. the other im trying to pick up in store but unavailable. deliver on oct 4, waited and now oct 9. i finally gived in. dont hesitate on ordering otherwise it will move longer to deliver.

Wow, I kept getting an error after everything was going smoothly starting at 8:11am EDT. I’m trying to get back to the pre order, or into the store itself, or seeing “Please try again later.” Damn!
Then when I’m about to place an order at 8:27am through the website instead of the Apple Store App on my iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB, I get a notification that says something like “Thank you for your order!”. Huh? Should have taken a screen shot, but apparently my order went through at 8:11am EDT according to the email they sent me! 16 minutes of stress because of an error message, but the order really went through already.

I wonder if Apple will ever have enough servers to make it seamless for everyone on the planet trying to order at the same time. Maybe in 2030?
 
So, on a lark, as both my iPad and iPhone App Stores were still waiting, I launched safari on my MacBook. I’d already saved so I just continued there, but both the iPad and iPhone couldn’t connect to the store. While I was finishing the order, I refreshed one to see what would happen and it bounced back to “Pre-orders start at 5” :)

Got my order in on the MacBook, but if I was waiting just for the app as normal, I could be looking at an Oct date.
 
preordered, forgets it all, order it like everyone else, send confirmation, cant see order because its not on the same apple ID, getting email confirmations for it though... at the wrong address of course.
Can they just NOT **** it up once? Has this ever worked?

Done and checked out, 24 minutes past the open. The web browser is still spinning but I got the "processing your order" email. Haven't seen the credit card charge go through yet however, I suspect the payment gateway is part of their problems.

Edit: Just realised I didn't get an EPP discount despite having the EPP in the URL. Damnit Apple!
Per my company’s EPP deal no EPP on newly released devices 😡.
 
It'd be interesting but nearly impossible to find a pattern to the errors people are encountering.

It took me 18 minutes to get past the "finishing touches" page, the Store site was a _little_ slower than it is on non-pre-order days, but the process of completing my saved orders couldn't have been easier. I had thought they'd want to do something like re-verify the carrier, or re-enter and verify my CVV, and I'd get tripped up there, but nothing of the sort. For me, anyway.
 
Thankfully my order went through anyway at 8:11am after receiving an error message. 16 more minutes of stress and I get notified “Thank you for your order!” It already went through initially! No wonder it wasn’t working after.

Now it looks like the only iPhone 15 Pro Max for first day delivery is the Blue Titanium 512GB. ALL OTHER PRO MAX iPhone 15s will be delivered around 3 weeks later. I have never gotten an iPhone after the initial release date. I would have been very upset with Apple if they didn’t have my order through already. Hopefully it’ll be smooth for all in the 2030’s.
 
What a mess! I chose Apple Pay doing the pre order setup a couple days ago but had to manually enter my credit card number to order. Will it still use Apple Pay? I wanted to get the 5% cash back from Discover for using Apple Pa.
 
I remember something like that happening to me a couple years ago. I waited till I saw one iPhone actually shipping, then I canceled the other order.
Ahhh but did you panic, lose all sense of relativity and post a thread in here asking what to do or did you put your brain in use and figure it out yourself?
