Apple store down as of 11.57am in Asia (U.S./Europe/etc. also)

It's funny to watch all of you going crazy because an online store is offline.

Apple is prob on the forum laughing at all of you, high fiving each other on their marketing skills.

How many of you as of 5 hours ago wanted to buy something from apple, excluding the 3g iphone????
 
I just happened to see the iPhone 3G commercial. Coincidence? I THINK so.
 
It isn't going to be the App Store.

I know this because I am a developer and I submitted my app for inclusion in the store well before the stated deadline to make the launch (Sunday to be exact), but my app is still under review (i.e. not accepted nor rejected). Don't expect the app store until Thursday night/early Friday AM.

Not to mention that the App Store is totally useless to everyone until Friday when the 2.0 update is out...

My prediction is that regardless of what the announcement is, someone will be outraged by it and start a petition to boycott Apple.

Wow... It isn't even nearly late enough for me to be this hyper.
 
This long of an update could be them beefing up the servers to handle the new Apps Store. It does not have to be turned on early but they had BETTER have the hardware in place by now. Everything would have to be reloaded and interconnected so everything had to come down at the same time.

Just a guess. I am really hopiing to see new pages with the accessories and applications in the app store. I truely think they are crazy to wait until Friday for 2.0 and have a major hardware AND software update on the same day.
