could it be cause of mobileme being released tomorrow? there switching it from .mac to mobileme .... not to be a party pooper but im just saying...

oooo! well tmmrw is tuesday here in california so maybe a new mb or mbp! i hope so, so i can buy one asap!!! 
I'd take one - lots more stable than the darn intel chips!

wow, anyone think there might be some app store info out of this? I'll bet it ends up being mobile me stuff.
Seriously, it is an addiction when you check the apple store and notice that it's down and the first thing you do is come here? ...not to mention the fact that it's 12:30 AM EST and I'm checking the Apple Store...
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that it's currently hours before Apple usually starts working on updates to the store for Tuesday releases?
We know mobile me isn't happening until tomorrow night... Hardware update now seems odd timing.

I would bet no on all 5 (and would love to be wrong). I would bet cash if we could shake on it (and I never bet unless it's frisbee-golf and I'm playing).
It has been down for at least a half hour now, and there are many threads about it, it seems to be just about every Apple store on the planet. It must be somewhat big if they are shutting down each one and doing it in the dead of the night for the US, they have to staff people to do whatever they are doing, and they must want it to seem like a seemless change. Even though I know it won't happen, I am hoping for an early 2.0 release since I will only be able to use the App store on Friday morning or late Sunday night from release until the 18th, figuring I will be away in two areas with no internet at all from mid-day Friday through Sunday night, and Monday morning through next Friday night.
I would try to get that fixed soon, but with the fact that I will have about 16 hours max with the App store (if I pull an all nighter) between now and the 18th if released Friday morning, I want to use it now. Maybe they will release it at 12:01 New Zealand time, that would be nice.aww dont say that! my MBP is broken and i cant sync
