Can they focus on the following instead of stupid green shirts?

1. Mac Hardware updates
2. Homepod pricing
3. Getting rid of notch
4. Bringing back headphone jack
5. Getting rid of Tim Cook

6. Upgradeable/moddable hardware, to keep it out of landfills and TRULY care about green earth instead of green money.
7. Returning to Function before Form.
8. Getting rid of Tim Cook and Jony Ive.

If there was any company that would recognized for their efforts with earth day, it would be Apple. Especially given that they are operating at 100% renewable energy across 43 counties. You have to give credit where credit is due, especially given their appreciation for the environment.

"Apple Store Employees to Celebrate Earth Day With Green Shirts Starting This Week"

...compared to the other day when the release of their Red products celebrates Hell.

It is easy to criticize. Finally a post that looks at things realistically. Macs are some of the longest running computers too. My main machine is a 2011 Mac Mini. Wife and I still use our 2015 Macbook Airs every day. $400 Windows laptops are lucky to be used more than a few years before being tossed. Meanwhile my 2011 Mac Mini is going strong with an SSD and 8GB of ram. Apple definitely tries a lot harder than many other companies to be "green" - agreed, have to give credit where it is due.

Those bare feet are disgusting and so unprofessional. Flip flops are not adequate in workplace, unless you work at a beach bar or something like that, clearly not the case. Surprised Apple allows it.

Oh please, it doesn't matter what the guy/girl is wearing as long as they are helpful and knowledgeable. Most tech companies could care less what you wear. I've seen great employees working on their pjays.

Don't be jealous just because you gotta wear a suit to work, or you just have a problem with feet in general?

That red haired lady in the background on the left is in the phase to stole an iPhone.

Noone is watching anyway. ;)

Just walked out of an Apple Store in South Florida and nobody had green shirts. I feel lied to.

Edit: never mind I see it starts tomorrow

Even more evidence that Apple has become a fashion brand. Watchbands and clothes are updated more frequently than the core business they should focus on. Don’t get me wrong... everybody should care for the environment but as someone was mentioning before... releasing thousands of shirts and producing products thousands of miles away are not the answer.

They're dealing with jerks and idiots all day. At least they can be comfortable.
Well... I agree on one thing. A thing I would never have said or thought of a few years ago... you must be a kind of idiot buying Apple today.

I celebrate Earth Day by still using my mid-2010 Mac mini, with its HDD replaced by a SSD and the RAM upgraded to 16GB, connected to my still-working ViewSonic VP171s and Logitech M-BA47 USB mouse.

We care so much about the planet we're celebrating Earth day for a whole WEEK! [smug mic drop]

Uhhh... you know those tshirts are for the store employees right? You can't get one. How is that making Apple a fashion brand?

In the mid 90's, I worked for MicroAge at Corp headquarters (in Tempe, AZ). Every so often they hosted vendor fairs. That is when representatives of the various manufacturers we sold for, would show up and talk about their products. That way we would have a better understanding of the products when we sold them to customers. Most of the time the vendor reps were more interested in telling us about the kickbacks we would get for selling their products; known in the industry as SPIFs.
At these vendor fairs their representatives would hand out lots of t-shirts covered in their logos and illustrations of their products as well as logo covered ball caps and other useless marketing junk. I would collect them and give them to a couple of homeless shelters in the area. Figuring the residents needed clean shirts and hats (its sunny and hot in arizona). Disappointingly, when i tried to collect from my co-workers, some would say they used the shirts as car-wash rags and then toss after single use.
