Those bare feet are disgusting and so unprofessional. Flip flops are not adequate in workplace, unless you work at a beach bar or something like that, clearly not the case. Surprised Apple allows it.

Actually, flip flops are far healthier than socked and shoed feet that is common in the Western world. In Asian countries, flip flops and bare feet are far more common than socks and shoes. The "disgust" you speak of us a societal thing more than about actual cleanliness.

But are the shirts made from environmentally-friendly eco-sourced materials, and not in slave-labour factories? That's an important question to ask.

It is easy to criticize. Finally a post that looks at things realistically. Macs are some of the longest running computers too. My main machine is a 2011 Mac Mini. Wife and I still use our 2015 Macbook Airs every day. $400 Windows laptops are lucky to be used more than a few years before being tossed. Meanwhile my 2011 Mac Mini is going strong with an SSD and 8GB of ram. Apple definitely tries a lot harder than many other companies to be "green" - agreed, have to give credit where it is due.

Couldn't disagree more. My 2 year old iPhone 4 was bricked by iOS7. My 2014 MacBook Air is still awesome but it's killing me to not be able to expand RAM and easily/cheaply expand SSD, ruling out many options other than to buy ANOTHER if I stick with Apple. I've cheaply upgraded several PC's for memory & storage over time and used them for 10+ years.

Bare feet aren't disgusting. Bare feet are part of your body like your nose. Don't know if that is disgusting. I wouldn't call flip flops professional either though. But there's a difference.

Lots of comments from the peanut gallery from people without any real perspective.

Apple employees have a uniform. They’re given either 2 or 3 shirts to wear 5 days a week. I guarantee most of those chiming in here wear more far more than the same 2 or 3 shirts for most of the week for months on end.

FWIW, Apple employees rotate 3 different color shirts for the entire year. That’s 6-9 shirts worn for approximately 1200-2000 hrs. And last year, they wore those green shirts for over 2 months (April - June).

So go ahead and comment again on who’s actually being more wasteful with their wardrobe.

Yep, my brand new 2017 5K iMac is useless because of Bluetooth problems. If installed a new system three times and internet is full of it. Apple is telling me to buy a wired mouse and keyboard unless it will be solved in a future update. I’m so done with this brand. This weekend I’ll decide to return it. Cash back my money and buy a Windows instead.

If we see these green t-shirts in August and later, then you sir have a good point. :)

I see you have an 2017 27” imac also. Are you experiencing Bluetooth problems as well? Sorry... I know this is out of topic... but Apple tells me to buy a wired mouse and keyboard unless this is solved in a future update. Speaking of waste of resources

I just received my iMac last Friday. So far, I'm not having problems except with the Windows 10 dual boot side of things, but I've resolved the issues. What seems to be the problem on your end?

Out of all the people who buy a "cheap" windows PC, how many know how to upgrade these systems? Very few. On that same note, I've had quite a few people come to me to help them fix their broken <insert brand name here> laptop or desktop. The failure rate on these $199-$600 systems that anyone can buy is usually pretty high. I personally have purchased and used several $399 systems that broke or failed within a few years. Meanwhile my macs and apple devices have outlived these on a huge factor (and continue to do so).

Everyone's experience is different, sure. But just because you've had a bricked iPhone and the vast majority of users haven't doesn't make Apple a bad choice. I can count on 2+ hands the number of Samsung users who beg me to help them fix a boot loop issue, update failure, or a restarting issue or ... you name it. Does that make all Samsung devices bad? No. But out of all the Apple users I know, this is far more.

Samsung Tablets are the worst. I've wasted so many hours of my life using Odin3 to flash Samsung Tablets....

My experience is that my Apple products have vastly outlived the competition in what I've used. Out of all the people I know, you're definitely the exception than norm. Apple products have been far more "green" for me. Are they perfect? Nope.

They look so happy on minimum wage and no commission.

I've always wondered. Is it minimum wage? Genuinely curious. I guess I should Google it.

My first few experiences buying iPhones in Apple Stores resulted in shock that the Genius was using a Windows Mobile phone and had less knowledge of iOS and iPhones than I did. The second one was an Android user who admitted he had this job cuz he needed to pay rent at his parent's place. I have met several "geniuses" who wow'ed me with their knowledge. But now, being the old fart that I am, I prefer to order online and avoid the whole store in person waiting experience.

My keyboard and Magic Mouse behave weird. They become slow and unresponsive and after some time don’t respond at all. I’ve tried all suggestions.
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8225334

Some things I would try, if I were in your shoes:

Connect other bluetooth devices to see if you can replicate the problem.

Remove bluetooth devices and reconnect.

Reset SMC and NVRAM on your iMac.

Visit an Apple Store and request a repair. It should be under warranty.

Can one of the barefeeted explain when iOS 11.x will have a dark mode
(than can avoid us to see everything)

Thanks for the advice. We don’t have an Apple store nearby as I live in the Netherlands. I’ll send it away for repairs though. I’ve tried all the options you already mentioned although I don’t think it’s an hardware problem but software. But Apple may solve it... I’m done with it. I hope my frustration doesn’t sound I’m not appreciating your suggestions. Because I do.

Mean while in asia billowing clouds of pollution.

Yeah there’s an app that shows air quality. It also shows the best and worst places for air quality. I scrolled to the bottom and all of the “dangerously unhealthy” were in China. It recommended people don’t go outside or breath non-filtered air. I actually didn’t realize it was still that bad.

If anyone needs to cut back on emissions it’s China. They even said they wouldn’t even think to start cutting emissions until 2025.

Fair enough.
Variety: a core value of the highest order !!
Respecting the socio-etnical comfortzones in a broader sense, may I suggest to have those feet tattood in a mere shoe manner as to balance cultural differences while still expressing individual preferences to the max. possible within corporate dressing standards ?
Angela will almost certainly appreciate that.
Thanks.
